Perchoutofwater
Over the weekend I've listened to a lot of Monte Montgomery. If you like acoustic guitar, you need to listen to him.

CaP'N GRuNGe
Caught these guys in concert on the 101 last week. Pretty damn impressive for non-country. Reminds me a lot of Zep , but fresh. The Answer  Sounds a bit like Sebastian Bach.  OK, these guys are pretty darn good. Â When I was 18, a friend insisted we go to the Brighton Bar down at the shore and see this band called Helmet. They had just released Strap It On. We were trying so hard to grow our hair long and look like dirtbags. Then out come these 4 guys with crew cuts looking like Neo-Nazis. There must have been 35 people in the bar and they blew us through the back wall. One of the maybe 5 best shows I've ever seen.

I saw the video for "In the Meantime" in which you don't really get a good look at the guys, and I'm thinking "Man, these dudes sound like hairy-knuckled, bare chested guys who eat lightning and crap thunder."  Then "Unsung" came out and the band appeared to have put the Dartmouth men's tennis team in the video for some reason.
