madt0wn
I'm in a deep PPR dynasty league. 12 teams, 25 man rosters that need to be cut down to 20 in the offseason. With rosters this big, it's nearly impossible to work the wire for any value. I need to cut three, but unsure where to hope the vets come back or ride the young potential. Let me know who you think I should let go and why. Keepers: Brady, Tom NEP QB - Hoping he comes back big, value too low to sell now. Johnson, Larry KCC RB - Has shown sparks, but very inconsistent. Charles, Jamaal KCC RB ® - LJ's handcuff. Rice, Ray BAL RB ® - Messy situation, but loads of talent. Hopefully McGahee goes away. Smith, Kevin DET RB ® - Stud in progress. Hoping they don't draft another to cloud the backfield. Bowe, Dwayne KCC WR - My one stud I recently traded for. Jackson, DeSean PHI WR ® - The miracle idiot midget. Jones, Matt JAC WR - Hopefully he keeps his nose clean, just traded for him. Ocho Cinco, Chad CIN WR - Hoping he rebounds with Palmer's elbow. Miller, Heath PIT TE - Hoping they use him to catch more than block next season. Can't get rid of/Value too low: Delhomme, Jake CAR QB - Decent back-up option who no one will touch in a trade now. Orton, Kyle CHI QB - Big question mark after strong opening to the season. Maroney, Laurence NEP RB - Mr. Inconsistent . Morris, Sammy NEP RB - Still heavily involved when they choose to run. Curry, Ronald OAK WR - ... Not sure if it's him or the team. Porter, Jerry JAC WR - ... What a disappointment. Unsure: Kolb, Kevin PHI QB - Backing up McNabb and things might get shaken up after another championship loss. Stanton, Drew DET QB - Former 2nd round pick, Culpepper can't last long. Jarrett, Dwayne CAR WR - Might finally wake up this season, might not. Johnson, Steve BUF WR ® - Shows some promise. Meachem, Robert NOS WR - Good talent, but lots of targets on the team before him. Simpson, Jerome CIN WR ® - 2nd round pick that should shine once TJ is gone. Stuckey, Chansi NYJ WR - Showed sparks. I also own picks 1.02, 2.01, 2.10, 4.02. I'm hoping to strike gold with my first pick. I've put Delhomme and Orton up, asking for a 2nd round pick for either of them, but no takers yet. madt0wn
May 1 is the cutdown date June 1 is our rookie draft. I know I'm a bit early, but what else do I have to do? Sorry, what do you mean when you ask if it's a contract league? Thanks for your advice, it's good to hear outside opinions on these things. Hopefully you're right on Orton, but he does need help. Walker is gone, along with everyone of any value. I guess I'll hold tight and see what trades go through and who drafts who before making any real decisions. But this helps a lot. Big Country
Sorry, what do you mean when you ask if it's a contract league? He is asking if players can only be kept for a certain period of time or if they can be kept indefinitely. If for only a certain amount of time, then it would be important to know how much longer each player can be kept for, as that has strategic consequences on the decisions to be made. madt0wn
Oh, I get it. No limitations on how long a player can be kept. Rosters have to get down to 20 and the only position we can't keep is defense. Those are really the only limitations.

tazinib1
I might be in the minority, but I am extremely high on Chansi Stucky.
darin3
I would keep Curry, personally. Cut Porter. Cut Orton, or try trading him for a late-rounder to a team really hurting at QB. I think you should trade Kolb to the McNabb owner. Or, if you can wait, trade Stanton to whoever drafts Matt Stafford - assuming the Lions select him in the draft. And I'd consider dumping Jarrett. He sucks.

Zooty
I'm surprised by all the Orton-hate. I know he's no Brady, but what other option does this guy have? Delhomme will be a starter in the NFL longer than Orton. Angelo already said they will address QB If Orton is the answer, I don't want to know the question
