Randall
so you are saying the Lions cant even get a break when they end up with the 1.1...yeah, it has to be rough being a Lions fan. 7 0f the last 11 years QB went #1. Even though LB's rarely go with the top pick I wouldn't mind Curry or a OT there. 2005 Alex Smith QB Utah San Francisco 49ers 3 0 2004 Eli Manning QB Mississippi San Diego Chargers 4 0 2003 Carson Palmer QB Southern Cal. Cincinnati Bengals 5 2 2002 David Carr QB Fresno State Houston Texans 6 0 2001 Michael Vick QB Virginia Tech Atlanta Falcons 6 3 1999 Tim Couch QB Kentucky Cleveland Browns 6 0 1998 Peyton Manning QB Tennessee Indianapolis Colts 10

Not only that, but any team picking a QB 1.01 gets to pay them a massive premium in salary/signing bonus as well before they even take a snap. Teams would do themselves a hugh favor waiting before selecting a QB in the draft.

Puddy
The reality is that this year is the perfect time to draft a franchise QB--there just isn't one available to draft at 1.1. This is how I see it. yep
Tford
Reports are saying that Jason Smith, OT from Baylor will go 1.01. http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl#561145 Hope this means that Stanton gets a good long look at QB.
BeeR
More like KFFL is saying that Jason Smith, OT from Baylor will go 1.01. yawn I agree w/that pick though. Course if they make it, Smith will rip an ACL on his way to the podium and Stafford will go on to stardom elsewhere.
CD6405
We all sure it's Jason Smith and not Michael Crabtree?
