rush00756
I have a RB from the 1st round and a top tier WR from the second. Which way would you guys go here? 10 team league, ppr is .05. Start 1 RB and 2 flex.
Capt. Stanky
Hmmm...that's a tough one. On one side, RGrant has a clearer path to pts, with BJackson rather than RBush. RGrant does virtually nothing as a receiver, so slight edge to PThomas there. Personally, I think RGrant is the safer, but PThomas has more upside in that offense. It really comes down to what kind of FF player you are. Do you generally go for the safer choice or the upside choice?
Big Country
CS nailed it. Grant equals safer, less upside guy. PT equals lower floor, higher ceiling. I generally go the opposite of what I took earlier, so if you deem your 1st round RB to be a more stable guy, then I go Thomas... if you think he is more of a wildcard with high potential, then I go Grant. Also, being that you only start 1 RB, two flexes (no statement on number of required WRs though this is important) and assuming you meant 0.5 PPR and not 0.05, and depending on which pick you have, a second top flight WR could be a legitimate option, but the original post does not have enough information to make this kind of determination. oubean
This is a close call. Like these guys said, Grant is a safer pick and you can look at his stats from the last couple of years and gage where he will fall in 2009. Thomas on the other hand is in a great offense and will get plenty of touches, even with Bush around. Thomas is definitely a wild card pick, but If you're not loving Grant with this pick then see if there is a WR worth taking. If you have a stable RB with the first pick then go with Thomas. It really depends on how much risk you want to take.
