Henry Muto
Just curious what people's league use for a cut off date for waivers each week. Does your league stop waivers for the week at Friday 9 PM (WCOFF does), does it stop at say Saturday 10 PM ? Maybe your leagues stops at Sunday 6 AM or goes all the way until Sunday Noon ? Just curious when each of your leagues puts a stop the waivers.
Big John
Gametime (1 ET) on Sunday. Players in Thursday games are locked when their games start.
Chargerz
In my local we stop at MN on Friday to give everyone time on Saturday and Sunday morning (before the games start) to enter their lineups. In weeks with Thursday games we stop waivers on MN Wednesdays (less time before the Thursday game to put in a lineup but more time in a short week for waiver requests). That way if someone gets hurt or is'nt doing well, you can just drop them and pick someone else up.
Capt. Waffle
For someone who's supposedly been involved in FF since 1990 and plays for big coin.....ya ask alot of Rookie questions???
Henry Muto
Unlike you guys I have ran my own league since 1990. Ran my own league as in I took all emails, waiver moves, did all the rosters, schedules myself on excel spreadsheets and wrote articles each week using word document. I tallied all the scores myself during Sunday and sent out updated scores to the teams in my league during the games. So since I had to do all this work myself I always had a cut off of 10 PM Saturday for line ups and waivers each week since there was no way I was going to be able to handle 3 leagues, 32 teams to try and do line up changes Sunday morning ect. So now that I am going online I have a whole new world to look at as far as line ups, waviers ect. Line ups I have already set for each player to be staretd up until they kick off but the waivers can be done differently from before. Looks like I am going to roll with a 2 AM Sunday deadline for waivers each week so teams don't get "lucky" and happen to be at a computer when a Sunday morning news article breaks that this player is not starting and they can run and pick up the back up. Thanks for your unwitting feedback though as I am sure you have never ran 19 years worth of leagues yourself not to mention 3 at the same time plus 1 of them being dynasty with salary cap. I am sure you all had nice little cozy MFL, CBS or whoever do the work for you. Sorry I was not like that I did it all myself. Finally though I have decided to go the new route because of the line up situation mainly. I didn't like the fact that teams could end up starting a questionable player and he sit out and they were stuck with a zero. Carry on with the negative commments people...carry on. Capt. Waffle
Started 1988- rookie, with only spreadsheets and USA Today, so go blow your glory horn some where else, I once had Cody Carlson as my QB and Jim Kelly before the bursela sac problem in the throwing elbow-sorry, not impressed, held many a draft before FF mags or the internet, so don't think your elite, as it comes off kinda bad. Bronco Billy
Instead of prevaricating (and very badly, I might add) about your expertise, why don't you just ask for help? Everyone is a noob at FF some time in their life. If you'd stop the BSing, people here might good naturedly tease you a bit but would for the most part be happy to help. The way you set yourself up, you encourage derision.

Henry Muto
From 1990-1996 I didn't even own a computer. So I would write up my papers for the league make copies at my work place and drive them to each person's house on Saturday nights. Then Monday morning I would also hit up the USA today and tabulate the scores. I could care less if your impressed or not I know what I have accomplished in my time and I have taken it up against the National contests around the world since 1997. We were all in the same boat at one time the old school players before the internet and before the FF mags. I just asked a simple question got an assine answer and explained why I was asking the questions. If your gonna just cry about my posts then just don't hit the reply button just walk away and you will live a happier life.

Did you walk 10 miles uphill to the store barefoot through 3 feet of snow to get the paper, and then another 20 miles uphill back home every Monday morning so that you could use your slide rule to compute the scores, too? The Wolf
Unlike you guys I have ran my own league since 1990. You presume to know soooo much about those on the boards Muto. I've never jumped on your bashing bandwagon but this I take exception to. Do you ever think before you write? You are clueless as to the experiences of your fellow Huddlers so don't be dumb enough to presume that you know all there is to know. If you want help, simply ask for it and stop being an arrogant pr1ck. Edited July 16, 2009 by The Wolf
