BeeR
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,531684...test=latestnews A ridiculously huge settlement (which IMO is anything over $50) is on the way, guaranteed.

FWmaker
And - if she had Verizon service, where the hell were all those friggin' people that are supposedly following her around?
Clubfoothead
I'll bet there's no chance of a hugh settlement. She wouldn't even be able to get a lawyer down here.
AtomicCEO
"The teen's mother says workers told her they left the manhole open and unattended for just seconds while they went to fetch some cones from their truck." Yup. That's dumb.
skylive5
The gene pool is so out of whack I'm not sure there is any turning back. And of course, in the mindset of today, those workers are the only ones in the wrong. Not the stupid teen. Lord, I hope she doesn't have a drivers license. I can imagine the trial now.... all the jurors will be texting and not paying any attention to what is going on in the courtroom.
Clubfoothead
I've had my coffee now. Someone might take the case but it would go nowhere. Nuisance value at best. She's got the negligence, she doesn't have the injuries. This case is a loser attrial. Nice wifebeater though.

skylive5
If she was talking to a person next to her and fell that would be OK? Come on Club. She doesn't have to pay attention to where she is going? You need more coffee. And the response was to Kid's statement about what the juror would say..... not the dumb teen. And the response was to Kid's statement about what the juror would say..... not the dumb teen. My bad. We certainly agree there. But I don't think people should expect to be on the lookout for open manhole covers, particularly in residential neighborhoods. That had the potential to seirously injure someone - little kids, even my grandmother beack when she could get around with her walker. That's a residential area and it was a crew of workers. Somebody should have stuck by the hole until they had the cones or maybe even not open it until you have your cones. You catch your lower jaw on the way down and if you live, it's going to be expensive. And nobodyneeds to worry about her million dollar lawsuit, if she's got a lawyer, it's a bad one. That interview killed her.

There are manhole covers in residential neighborhoods FYI. I guess this isn't as common knowledge as I would have thought. Anyway - I agree; people shouldn't h ave to have resonsibility/accountability as to where they are walking. sup wif dat?

Grimm74
Workers fault completely. He should lose his job and the city should pay......society. If they placed the cones the "victim" would of tripped over the cones and landed head first. We had the opportunity to thin the herd and it was lost. CaP'N GRuNGe
Are you saying Joannie loves Chachi? Yes, but it gets better. They are both involved in a bizarre love triangle with Potsy. Ralph Malph told me.
