Capt. Stanky
I'm in a 10 team 10 player keeper league. We're expanding from 8 to 10 teams this year. We are only able to keep up to 3 per position this year with the new teams joining. I would be forced to drop BQuinn (We start 2 QB's so they are just as important as RB's; other QB's are Rivers, Romo and Palmer), PThomas and Addai (RB's are MJD, Forte, SJax). I've been offered either TO or Lee Evans for BQuinn (WR's are where I'm weak. I have AJohnson and BEdwards currently). The trade is a no brainer. I can't keep BQuinn anyway, so I might as well try and get something for him. Who would you rather have in a 10 player keeper league TO or Evans? My gut says TO, because I'm on the cusp of a championship and feel he will have the better numbers next year. Evans makes more since in the long run since he's still relatively young. One thing I've learned in a deep keeper league over the years is that it's really more about winning now. Things change so much from year to year that what looks like a good move for the future one min can turn into a disaster down the road. Edited August 2, 2009 by Capt. Outlaws1
Owens has a history of doing very well in his first year with a new team. Plus, I think Owens has more upside and potential than Evens.
