What do these offenses carry as min/max sentences? Remember hearing he'd likely plea for roughly 30-40% of the minimum sentence.

Adam Shefter said he should have taken the 3 month plea. Was that really offered?
matt770
We'll always have Feb. 3, 2008. Thanks for the memories, Plax. Don't drop the soap.

Yep...you'll soon be able to say that day can be remembered as the one where a convicted felon caught the Super Bowl-winning TD. I'd rather have never won a Super Bowl

He was not a convicted felon at the time. I'd rather have never won a Super Bowl Your wish has been granted.
cdrudge
Can someone tell me what on earth Burress's defense will be. He had a gun, that was his, in a nightclub, that was loaded, that let to shooting himself. These are undisputed facts of the case aren't they? matt770
Can someone tell me what on earth Burress's defense will be. He had a gun, that was his, in a nightclub, that was loaded, that let to shooting himself. These are undisputed facts of the case aren't they? Yes, and he will have to do some jail time. His lawyer has been arguing that leniency is in order because the gun was registered in another state, was not used in the commission of a crime, the only person hurt was himself, and he cooperated with police. The majority of such cases (not involving famous people) end up in a plea bargain with the defendant doing a year or less, from what I read.
