Who started teh RBBC?

Recommended Posts

If you read the post , it says if the touches are the same it doesnt matter. So if you get 20 touches it doesnt matter if you are on the field for 30 plays or 70, you are not getting the ball any extra.

 I get the touches part. Fine. Under your scenario of the same amount of touches in fewer plays played, I could see you arguing that the player has an advantage in staying fresh. But if you reread my post, I say it does matter because fewer plays affects what kind of touches a RB gets. I said it once and I'll say it again, I want my RB to be on the field as often as possible. I don't want him coming out on third down or in goalline packages. But it's hard to find those guys now. That's what the modern RBBC concept has done as opposed to yesteryear when two RB's contributed but played together at the same time. I.e. Alstott/Dunn, Harris/Bleier, Dorsett/Newhouse, etc.
