Asskickas
I think I might need an upgrade at TE. I drafted in a high scoring 14 teamer and ended up with Shockey. I really wanted Winslow or Olsen but I grabbed LeSean McCoy in the 7th round since rbs had dwindled down a lot due to the scoring settings. By the 8th both Olsen and Winslow were gone of course. Anyway 1 team has both Clark and Witten so I'm thinking of proposing a trade to get Clark. Scoring: Passing-- 1/20yds, -3/ints, 6/td, 0.5/comp, Bonus 10@350yds, 20@450yds Rush/Receive--6/td1/10, 1PPR, -1/lost fum, 1/rush att, Bonus-10@150, 20@220 Return--1/25, 8pt tds My Team QB Brees WR Greg Jennings WR 85 WR Hester RB Ryan Grant RB Fred Jackson TE Shockey W/R/T Sammy Morris W/R/T LeSean McCoy K Robbie DEF Jets D Jerod Mayo D DJ Williams BENCH RB Michael Bush RB Marshawn Lynch WR Jeremy Maclin WR Earl Bennett QB Trent Edwards His Team QB Romo WR Andre Johnson WR Driver WR Jenkins RB Gore RB FWP TE Witten W/R/T Dallas Clark W/R/T McGahee K Longwell DEF Titans D Will Blackmon D Jared Allen Bench RB Graham RB Fargas TE Fasano WR Michael Clayton QB Shaun Hill Finally the question...would you make a move for a TE upgrade? Or will Shockey be decent enough in 09. He can only go up from last year right? With his weak WRs (except AJ) I think my options are 1. Hester for Clark straight up 2. Hester/Shockey for Clark/Jenkins 3. Stay pat and hope Shockey can finally make some noise in 09.
SpinalTapp
First - I would absolutely not be comfortable going into the season with Shockey as my #1TE. I am going to assume we are talking about Dallas Clark from the Colts, of course. If you have Chad Johnson (85 I assume) and Jennings, I would deal Hester for Clark straight up and be happy with the huge upgrade at the position. tazinib1
OUch. With the option to flex TE in a PPR league, I'm pretty sure Clark is going to cost you ALOT more than Hester. I'm also pretty sure he drafted with starting 2 TE's in mind.
ryankenn
I'd work on the RB's before I'd worry about the TE. Who is in the FA pool after the draft?
soulfly
You do need to work on getting a different TE, but I would work on those two flex spots first. They will hurt your team more. McCOy is great to have, but he ins't really valuable unless Westy goes down. I know that it would suck to do it, but you may need to think ( I only said to THINK) about trading Brees for two solid starters that you could fill those two flex spots and maybe the TE as well. Edwards should do well. Remember, I just said to think about it.
