Kold tears ACL?

The injury bug hit the Eagles again Monday morning as backup quarterback Kevin Kolb was carted off the field with what the team is calling a left knee injury but some suspect is a torn ACL.

Kolb hurt the knee stepping on the foot of offensive tackle King Dunlap in the pocket.

TE Ingram tears ACL, out for season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) -- Philadelphia Eagles rookie tight end Cornelius Ingram has a torn ligament in his left knee and is likely out for the season.

The team said an MRI taken Saturday revealed the torn ACL sustained on Tuesday. The fifth-round pick missed his senior season at Florida after tearing the ACL in the same knee almost exactly a year ago.

"He's a great kid and his leg had been doing so well," coach Andy Reid said.

DeSean jackson hurts knee

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has hyperextended his right knee in practice. Jackson fell awkwardly Saturday after getting tangled up with cornerback Asante Samuel during a full-squad drill.

The second-year pro walked the length of the field with head trainer Rick Burkholder before being carted to the locker room. Jackson was able to put weight on his leg after practice, but the knee was heavily wrapped.

Westbrook out until at least mid August

Training Camp 2009 hasn’t even officially begun yet and already the Eagles are making headlines. Andy Reid met with the press at Lehigh University at around 5pm. According to Reid, Brian Westbrook has a chance to return to the practice field by mid-August. It’s not clear what he’ll be doing when he returns. Participating in full squad practice? Sitting on a stationary bike? Icing his knee and ankle 24/7? Sampling the fine camp cuisine? At any rate, the hope is he’ll be ready by the season opener.

Adam_Schefter - I'm told Eagles QB Kevin Kolb, who was carted off today with a knee injury, should be fine. He's getting an MRI for precautionary reasons.

Good news if true. Now the the Eagles fans just need to hope that Westbrook is ready to go for the first game of the season (looks likley) and that Jackson is okay.
