#9 pick in a 10 teamer

Ok my way of thinking is to take the best WR 1st since I'm picking 9th BUT whats really itching me is, what if a RB falls to me like a LT, S Jax or even D Will, should I take one of them then on the way back in the 2nd round grab Calvin Johnson or Moss??

Its a PPR league, 6 pts for TDs and 1 point per 10 yards rushing,1 pt pet 20 yards rec.

Interesting...PPR with a twist where yards receiving are significantly devalued....I'd imagine a pass catching RB does especially well in this sort of a scoring system.

If you are able to grab LT or SJax or Chris Johnson at 9 that's a no brainer to me...Fitz and AJ are nice picks there if still available, but I'd prefer the pass catching RB...and a TD threat WR like Moss/CJ on the turn.

Best of Luck,

WashD

Given the 1/10 rush - 1/20 recv rule with the PPR, I'd have to consider SJax or Lt over one of the Tier 1 WRs ... although I'm not that big of an SJax fan with his reliability concerns, your draft slot dictates that you may want to take a bit of a chance at the risk vs reward game, but for sure I'd want to get the best WR remaining on the board on the turn in round 2.

I am in your exact same position (draft spot and scoring system). I am looking at LT or S Jax if they fall but I am debating taking Brees or Brady if they are there on the way back. What do you think about the QB instead of the WR and go either wr/wr or wr/rb in 3/4?

I have never drafted a QB before the 5th round ever, but that's my opinion and strategy. You may have another outlook but after the 1st 3 QBs the next 10 will get you on average 25 pts a week so I rather stock up on WRs and RBs then go for a QB.
