Ray Rice in PPR league....

I don't see it. DeAngelo always has had the "it" factor - the stud ability. All he needed was a chance to get enough opportunity. It was like waiting for Holmes to break out until he finally went to KC.

I just don't see Rice as having the "it" factor. And I really do like his ability - always have. I just can't see him hitting the big time with the way he runs. He'd have to land in a STL "greatest show on turf" type O to have a shot at it.

 Seems to me he's in the perfect situation to exceed his ability....much like Terrell Davis.

Rice simply isn't in the same class as DeAngelo or Westbrook. He just wasn't born with their kind of ability. He doesn't have their quickness or speed, nor do I think his center of gravity is as low, which is really their key. He's a nice player but doesn't have super-stud upside.

he reminds me of Travis Henry a little bit. Quick feet, moving forward always. He's not DWill, but he has the right team/philosophy to do some damage this year and probably next. Not a 4-6 year stud.

but Henry didn't make plays catching the ball like Rice does...

how does one exceed their ability?

ability + right opportunity/system/time = production that would exceed their ability.

i.e If there are massive dump truck holes to run through thanks to a team that has a great o-line and or system vs a guy that creates his own based purely on talent.

It was a joke. But technically the team he plays for has no bearing on his ability. Performance, yes. Ability, no.

I'm talking about the whole package.....because his run style is so-so, but he's a lot more lethal catching the ball from what I've seen...

so by lethal, you mean he's a better runner after he catches the ball than if he just takes a hand-off?

I'm kidding, just needling for no apparent reason like everyone else does.
