Ryan Grants back up

I don't trust Brandon Jackson. I've seen him drop too many short passes to think he'd really replace Grant if he went down.

This is the depth chart.

Grant-Jackson-Wynn-Lumpkin-Sutton®

Who would you target if Grant couldn't play?

+1. :D

and should'nt Randall be telling us who to target?

So then you and BeeR came in here because you don't know either. I'm asking what other people think.

Zooty may have the best answer. Wynn is probably the most talented, but until this year had attitude problems.

This year the coaches say that changed.

I'm actually really liking the Sutton kid. He will battle Wynn and Lumpkin for the 3rd RB spot but the clear cut hand-cuff to Grant is Brandon Jackson. IMHO.

Except that if Grant does go down I don't believe he'll be as successful as Grant.

I think Wynn, Lumpkin and Sutton would be better backs. I've seen Jackson given carries too often and blown blocks, receptions too often. I don't see him keeping the job.

Wynn is the most talented but hasn't been able to stay healthy.

Big John thinks Jackson may be more expendable. He may be right. Sutton has been returning kicks and that helps. They may choose to keep more d linemen and fewer backs.

Thanks for the opinions.

You're right. I don't know enough about any of those backs to consider any of them draftable. If I draft Grant and he goes down I'm looking elsewhere.

So in short, you are saying you will pass on the next GB starting RB if Grant goes down? hmmmmmm....interesting.

not at all, but willing to take my chances on the waiver-auction order

really, how many of you have seen another GB RB get drafted in a 10 or 12 team redraft?

Ok maybe misunderstood the post. Draft wise, yes I agree...I'll pass on anybody not named Grant. But I would never discount a starter...no matter what team he's on.

that goes without saying, Mike...

I have 35 and 43 man rosters in some leagues so I can see drafting a backup late(just not 3 of them).

again, in that situation, you almost are forced to...but are those IDP Leagues and how many starters fer D?

There are 2 reasons most people visit FF boards:

1 - hard-core FF dweebs looking for "an edge"

2 - boredom

I mostly fit into category #2.

Beyond that, I think no GB RB is worth a flip except in REALLY large/deep leagues. That's all I'm saying.

mostly boredom.....but the edge comes into play even on accident...

Jackson came out of college early and I've always thought he was a little thick headed, but I wouldn't be surprised if he does well in the attempts he gets. I don't think I'd draft a handcuff to a 3rd round RB, but maybe you have a deep bench or this is a homerism thing. I read Brandon Jackson had a "bruised shin" or something of the sort but it sounds like someone thought he had a more serious injury. Regardless, I'd take Jackson or nobody as the backup.
