ThatDude
I've always drafted a RB first if i can get a top 4 or 5 pick and then a WR on the comeback for my second pick. I usually don't select a QB for a few rounds. This year I'm a bit confused on what my strategy should be. Just looking at last year's scoring in our league the top 3 QB's scored about 250 more points than then top 3 RB's. The The Tier 1 WR's scored about 30 - 50 more points more than the 2nd tier RB's. That being said I'm seriously considering a QB or WR with the 4th overall pick. Has anyone used this strategy this year in a 10 team PPR league? How did it turn out? Start - 1QB, 2 RB’s, 3 WR’s, 1 Flex (WR, RB, or TE), 1 K, 1D/ST Edited September 4, 2009 by ThatDude
Big Country
Drop off in position determines value, not points scored. By how much did those top 3 QBs outscore the QBs ranked 8-10, and similarly, by how much did the top 3-5 RBs outscore the 18-20th RB, and by how much did the top 3-5 WRs outscore the 30-36th WR? It is by looking at the expected dropoff within a position that you determine value. If all of your QBs are within 100 points of each other, it does not matter if they outscore RBs by 250 pts, if the top RBs are outscoring the latter starting RBs by 150 points. What is your scoring system?

What is your scoring system? Great breakdown as I didn't look at it that way. I would say that the average team score each week in our league is 125 - 150 points. There's usually someone flirting with 200 - 210 each week.
