Also, try squinting at your watercolors, you'll find you tend to stay too much in a single value of color. Try working a bit more with darks and lights, and you'll get better dimensionality that will make your painting pop more. Your figure drawing is a bit off, if there is a college in your town, usually there will be figure sessions on Saturdays for outsiders to come in an draw. That will really help. And in case you want to just discount my advice, I apprenticed under a wildlife paint named Dennis Anderson for two years out of high school, am a published illustrator in the medium, and taught at the college level.
