The biggest fantasy impact rook RB this season

I'm still going with Wells. It won't take long for him to outperform Hightower and get a big dose of carries, especially the red zone carries for a high powered offense.

I just worry too much about the injuries with Wells. If he stays healthy then you may be right. There is no doubting the talent that Wells brings to the table. I just don't think he will stay healthy.

I don't deny that he does have a checkered injury history, but the same was often said about AD his rookie season as well. I'm not saying he'll put up AD numbers, but they're both dynamic RBs that can do anything once they put their hands on the ball. Wells also has a nice 5.7 ypc in the preseason compared to Hightower's 4.6. I also really like Brown but I think it may be a year before he really breaks out.

I have to agree here. I think Wells has the best opportunity out of all the rookies. TH has done nothing but garbage during the preseason and of course his avg yards per carry last year put him and the bottom of the heap. If Arizona wants to return to the SB and be competitive, they need a strong running game which Wells should be able to provide them.

Optimistic numbers: 1400 yards and 15 TD's

Pessimistic numbers: 800 yards 10 TD's

I am going off the board and saying in a TD ONLY league, Shonn Greene could make the biggest impact as he is primed to be the goalline back and will be the lead back if TJ falters.

I am not sold on Wells. I think he will fall short of expectations.

I love Brown. I saw him play a lot at UCONN and the boy can play. However, I think his time will come next year.

I don't think there is one clear-cut favorite. A couple of names that haven't been thrown into the mix yet:

- Bernard Scott - Has just as good of a chance as anyone listed above IF Benson struggles or is injured.

- Mike Goodson - Definite long shot here... But, if none of the others have a major impact (the starters in front of them stay healthy, Wells has injury issues, etc.), I could see him having a Sproles or Washington-like impact for Carolina, in terms of making plays on 3rd down, long yardage situations, and possibly even the kick return game. Not saying he'll be THE biggest impact RB, but I could definitely see him making more of a splash than a lot of people are expecting. After all, nobody is completely sure if/when Stewart will be completely healthy, and even if he is at some point, he's not a 3rd down back. I expect Goodson to see plenty of touches this season for the Panthers.
