Steelhead Posted November 3, 2009 Share Posted November 3, 2009 current RBs are Gore, Moreno, Maroney, Shonn Greene. The Portis owner dropped him last week due to other injuries and a short bench. I'm 2nd in waivers tonight and pondering dropping Shonn Greene or Maroney for Portis or Moats. Portis is a name at this point but I haven't followed the Skins that closely to know if they can pull something out or if Portis is just done. Moats is probably a better short term solution than Maroney at this point because at least Texans will run. NE has the easiest schedule when I was looking at NE and HOU. Thats a backup in greene and the most sporadic rb in the nfl in maroney. chase0 Posted November 3, 2009 Share Posted November 3, 2009 I love the skins but their off line is in tatters (we're prolly trotting out levi jones next week) portis has been hurt all year with bone spurs and the rest of the schedule is brutal. With that said I would still drop Maroney to pick him up. Maroney has killed me in the past and I gotta assume that sooner or later Sammy Morris and Fragile Freddy are coming back. Its not like Maroney has done that much anyway - just take the london game. - portis isn't going to put up all world numbers but even with all the problems he is still just 28. He's the primary ballcarrier ( including 90% gl touches), and he's had a week to heal from his injuries. The question I would ask if I were you is if you think anyone better is gonna come along on waivers at this point of the season. . . . - and I wouldn't drop greene. the guy is an injury away from lighting the league on fire Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
