jdub!
NYJ game. Stats on espn.com and nfl.com say he didn't. Yahoo stats didn't show the fumble forever - then they took the points away - now I have them back. What gives?? I could have sworn I saw MJD fumble the ball. Lol. Edited November 17, 2009 by jdub! keggerz
I think this was the play which was a handoff to MJD...QB always gets charged with that fumble if the back didnt have possession of the ball 2-1-JAC3 (9:19) D.Garrard FUMBLES (Aborted) at NYJ 1, RECOVERED by NYJ-M.Devito at NYJ 3. ced1001
Didn't see the game but a lot of times there is confusion about who to credit the fumble to on a QB-RB hand-off exchange. The answer is that unless the RB demonstrates control, the QB is always credited with the fumble. The only reason I suggest this as the potential confusion, is because it cost me a game a few years ago when the stat was adjusted on Monday. jdub!
Interesting... I noticed a little bobble but for some reason I don't recall the announcers mentioning the fumble being charged to Garrard. Seems like it could have gone either way to me. Also appears that the Yahoo stat folks were confused as well. Thanks kegg.
