muck
I got about 3/4 of it out but 1/4 of my contact is floating around in my eye. Real PITA. Besides, the family is set to drive for about 10hrs tomorrow to go to TX and I'm going to have to do it with one eye (my dog ate my glasses last week and don't have a back up pair). Anyone have any medical issues I should be aware of if I can't fish out the rest of my contact?
SteelBunz
Ouch! Two things give me the serious willies......compound fractures and ANYONE (including myself) touching my eyeballs. Good Luck Muck.....I have no advice except.....see your eye doc.
cliaz
I've never heard of someone ripping a contact. In fact, I have no idea how people and put in and take out contacts...I'm too lazy so i guess it's good I don't require corrective lens [Mr. Papa georgio]

Czarina
Yikes, i'm thinking that's going to be a trip to the ER or at least to the doc's office to get that thing out. I would think this is pretty uncomfortable.

If you scratch the cornea it a complete beotch. Plus, you're better off going without glasses completely rather than just one contact. The headaches will come on rather quickly. Even an old pair of glasses or contacts is better than just one. Good luck.
Clubfoothead
You should not be driving in that condition unless you have at least a 12 pack in you to balance everyting out.

wiegie
I would suggest going to one of those one-hour eye-glass places to get a new pair or else call around to places like Costco to see if they have any of your prescription contacts in stock. 10g_DBA
Why do women rub their eyes when they get up in the morning? Because they don't have balls to scratch. Edited November 23, 2009 by 10g_DBA

chester
I've had that happen dozens of times but have always found it relatively quickly. As been suggested it can cause serious scratching and/or infection. I'm glad you're going in.
