FishFreak
I know Westy's return is iffy but if he can come back healthy and well rested, he could crush during the fantasy playoffs. Any homers out there know what the Eagles plans/timetables are if his tests come back positive? Here's to hoping for his return come week 15. Yeah I know McCoy is playing well but a helthy Westbrook could give the Eagles a huge boost for the playoffs.
isleseeya
If he does come back ( and i think its still an If ) , i cant see him carrying anywhere near to close the whole load I think from a FF perspective , he may actually become a bigger problem for owners of him and Mccoy ...I think they both lose value

Yeah I know McCoy is playing well but a helthy Westbrook could give the Eagles a huge boost for the playoffs. The fact they didn't place him on IR tells you the team expects him back. He began exercising in the last couple days, and the fact he continues to increase his routine iterates that he has not suffered any kind of setback whatsoever. He is out this week and next, but the timetable is indeed for a Week 15 return. I think from a FF perspective , he may actually become a bigger problem for owners of him and Mccoy ...I think they both lose value Likely true. I don't think mcCoy has done anything to decrease his workload....except for the fact that Westbrook is a superior pass-catcher, blocker and blitz-reader. I think you'll see a lot of McCoy on 1st down, but Westbrook more on 2nd & 3rd downs of 5 yards or more, when there is a greater liklihood of a pass play. Swamm, you think they're not IR'ing Westy to keep him around for the Playoffs while they run McCoy now?
i_am_the_swammi
Swamm, you think they're not IR'ing Westy to keep him around for the Playoffs while they run McCoy now? I think thats the game plan, but I am sure they'd like to see him in some action prior to the postseason. remember, there is a hugh game for the Birds Week 17 that will likely decide quite a bit ....I am guessing they'd like him 100% ready for that tilt, which likely means they'd like to get him back in Week 15, 16 at the latest. Very true. If they win that game, they could possibly squeak out a wild card birth. Lose it and they'll be sitting at home with the G-Men and Skins.
