Would you Drop Palmer for Alex Smith as a Back Up

I have used Schaub as a starter this year and he has done well.

He dislocated his non throwing arm and I have Palmer on the Bench as my back-up.

Would you drop Palmer and Pick Up Alex Smith from San Fran as a replacement in case Schaub is out the rest of the year?

We play through week 16.

What? You don't trust Rex Grossman? This question is an interesting dilemma because Grossman would still have a high-powered offense at his disposal.

I would keep Palmer because I think Schaub will play this week. I only drop Palmer or someone else if you can and play Smith this week. Week 15, I like Palmer's match-up better than Smith's.

I have the exact same QB's as you and last night I droped Palmer for Smith. Smith has the better matchups ahead plus he has been doing better than Palmer. I think our starter will play, he came in after he was hurt and played so that should be a good indication that he will play this week. As far as the other two QB's, I would drop him for Smith, I literally did it last night.
