THE SIX KINGS
Sources: Yanks on verge of Granderson deal Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi, FOXSports.com The three-way blockbuster that will send Curtis Granderson from the Tigers to the Yankees is on the verge of completion, major league sources said early Tuesday afternoon. An exchange of medical records will be required to finalize the biggest transaction so far this off-season, a deal in which the Tigers will part with two All-Stars — Granderson and starting pitcher Edwin Jackson — in an effort to build a more cost-effective club. The proposed exchange of players is as follows, according to sources: -- The Yankees receive Granderson from the Tigers. -- The Diamondbacks receive Jackson from the Tigers and right-hander Ian Kennedy from the Yankees. -- The Tigers receive center fielder Austin Jackson and left-hander Phil Coke from the Yankees; and right-hander Max Scherzer and left-hander Daniel Schlereth from the Diamondbacks. Jackson is a young talented OF that needs to be in MLB next year and Coke is a valuable LH out of the pen. The D-Backs are crazy also Scherzer for E. Jackson. I. Kennedy is a big question mark. Tigers making out good on this one. Edited December 9, 2009 by SLAYER
Zooty
I don't think the Yankees pull the trigger. I think Jackson, Kennedy and Coke (after moving Bruney) is too much for them Nevermind Done deal http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball...outfielder.html
