HowboutthemCowboys
With kicker Nick Folk in a field goal slump, Romo went to special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis and volunteered to hold on place kicks this Sunday against the Chargers. Everyone remembers the Seattle Slip in the 2006 wild-card playoffs, but Romo actually did an excellent job overall. Does he have a few things on his mind already as the starting quarterback? Absolutely. But three points could decide the game Sunday, and Romo thinks he can help get the job done. "Obviously I would prefer not to do it for obvious reasons," Romo said, "but at the same point my pops told me one time leadership is doing what needs to be done. And I think in some ways -- not that it’s a big, big thing -- but it’s important for us to be good in that area." cowboys.com

Chargerz
Two thoughts: 1) Is it really the holder's fault that Folk is "in a field goal slump"? I think not. 2) It's bizarre to think that there isn't another player on the Cowboys roster that can hold for place kicks. Romo's got enough on his plate....he shouldn't have to add anything else. Chargerz
Is that the same leadership style that sent him to Mexico or to Las Vegas? Nice!!

Samson
Romo had balls to think he could help, given his track record. Likewise, how do the Cowboys in any way think releasing this suggestion publicly could help their team?

pig devilz
I am sure this will end well . . . . yeh, like him fumbling the snap and getting drilled by some D linemen. or better yet, him fumbling the snap, picking it up, running and getting stopped just short of the goal line...i could see that happening. in fact, i think i just did, on youtube.
