splotchman
The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Sunday's win over the Cowboys "assured" Chargers head coach Norv Turner of a contract extension. Turner's current deal is up after the 2010 season. Citing team sources, beat writer Kevin Acee reports that Turner could receive an extension "perhaps right after the regular season ends." The Chargers are a victory away from clinching a spot in the postseason, and could earn as high as the No. 2 seed in the AFC if they beat Cincinnati in Week 15 and the Broncos lose.
