PPIchamp
I put together a sacks allowed list which I think is more accurate than a simple total sacks allowed per team number. This ranking list is done by sacks allowed per pass attempt. Ranked most to least allowed (week 14 games included): 1. Oak (9.1) 2. Buf (9.47) 3. GB (9.51) 4. KC (9.9) 5. Jac (11.2) 6. Pit (11.3) 7. Was (12) 8. NYJ (12.5) 9. SF (13.1) 10. Det (13.2) 11. Car (13.9) 12. Cle (14.2) 13. Sea (14.6) 14. Phi (14.9) 15. TB (15) 16. Mia (15.3) 17. StL (15.7) 18. Dal (15.85) 19. Chi (15.9) 20. Den (16.4) 21. Min (16.6) 22. Bal (16.7) 23. Cin (17.1) 24. SD (18.5) 25. NYG (19.2) 26. Atl (20.3) 27. Hou (21) 28. Ari (22.2) 29. NO (28.9) 30. NE (32.6) 31. Ten (33.3) 32. Ind (50.4)
keggerz
good work...but I also think you should now factor in the number of passes/game to get an average per game... IE: Team A gives up a sack every 5 attempts but only passes the ball on average 10 times means you can expect 2 sacks Team B gives up a sack every 10 attempts but passes the ball on average of 40 times means you can expect 4 sacks according to your numbers the better play would be team A....and I do think that your numbers are relevant but think adding in the avg number of passes per game would help....if you can wait til a bit later tonite I can post the avg passes per team for you (but you have to do the math ) then you look at the game and see how you think it will play out to take advantage of the stats Edited December 16, 2009 by keggerz
