Palin, daughter lash out at 'Family Guy' episode

Recommended Posts

Imagine the outcry if Family Guy made Cleveland like Obama for an episode and Stewie put on a dress and played Sasha Obama complete with the social awkwardness of being a teenager. Then maybe we could have Quagmire sleeping with Michelle?

But hey, picking on the less fortunate is more funny...right Rahm Emmanuel?

The Family Guy writers are equal opportunity when it comes to making fun of people, race, religion, ect...

This is true and I don't really have a problem with how they portrayed Downs Syndrome in general. However, this:

The episode features the character Chris falling for a girl with Down syndrome. On a date, he asks what her parents do. She replies: "My dad's an accountant, and my mom is the former governor of Alaska."

seems like a personal jab at Palin, and I can understand her and her family being upset. It crosses the line in my opinion.

We should be making fun of Obama and the fact that he will probably turn out to be a worst President than Jimmy Carter. And then watch the hippies get up in arms about that. I swear we should have a "No shoes, no voting" policy so every dummy on the West Coast can't screw this country again.

Not every person wearing flip flops voted for Obama pal. I'm offended and hurt by that statement.

Bill Clinton as a pedophile and the Obama admin making it okay and actually encouraging people to make fun of the disadvantaged. No wonder this country is in the moral crapper.

ETA: But the lazy ass welfare recipients that could take care of themselves get defended to the bitter end by the libs. Vile.

not saying going after her kid with downs was right - but this lady is a hypocrate as she has said a lot of things about a lot of people. you know - like calling them a terrorist and such.

and how many references are walk talking about here? just the one that said - my mom was the govenor of Alaska? is she upset about a single joke? Heck - are the genders (her kid and the kid on the show) different?

If it was the whole show - she might have something - but biting on just one joke?

she's kind of has the pay no attention part down - or at the very least has a hard time processing those things she pays attention to.

I think I'm going to go to the nearest soccer field and mock some 7-year old brat and say it's okay to pick on those that can't defend themselves and the parents should just shut the hell up. After all, it's your fault for putting him out in public. Judging by this thread, it seems to be okay.

Which one of you has a kid playing soccer I can make fun of?

On second thought, I like Palin in 2012 if Obama is still considered the Messiah. Someone has to lose to him, then she can go away and the GOP can regroup and hopefully have a real candidate in 2016. The country will most likely be reeling from 8 years of Obama and ready for a Republican again.

Hopefully Walnut's daughter Cleavage McCain will run then.

I'm gonna start with "Haha, yer Dad drives a minivan all by himself sometimes". That should start the tears flowing. Then I'm gonna hit him with "If your Mom really loved you, she would have made those treats from scratch instead of buying them from the store". Oh yeah. Let me hear those tears.

I define irony as starting a "Let's make fun of Obama's children, but it's all just in good fun" and watching the libs get up in arms. A Democrat is the most hypocritical animal on the planet. They can dish it out, but they sure can't take it. Heck, we can barely talk about how truly ugly Michelle really is with that horseface of hers without the ZOMGers reporting the thread and crying to their Harry Reid/Nancy Pelosi jizz-stained portrait hanging on their wall in the house some Republican is helping pay for while they sit on their couch perfecting the art of laziness and pot-smoking.

Didn't your man Rush refer to Clinton's daughter as the "family dog?" Republican's can make stupid remarks as well. You should probably hang up the fake outrage and go polish the pipes on the 'vette, or whatever you kids call it these days.

I am polishing my pipes right now.

The difference was Chelsea Clinton was really ugly...not Amy Carter ugly, but still pretty ugly. But there is a cure for that...as Nancy Pelosi proves everytime she sits down in her chair behind Barack Obama with her hand up his small intestine mouthing his words for him. I wonder how many tax dollars she's spent for that mug?

I think most of us with a few neurons understand who Palin was in 2008 -- an unqualified desperation pick by the McCain team who would have been a disaster. The campaign was racked with guilt over it too, once they saw what they really had -- just the implications for the country if McCain won and Palin was one heartbeat away from being leader of the free world. That she is still so popular and has 2012 buzz is a testament to where the Republican party is right now.

And you'd think she would have learned something by now, but nope...commenting on a Family Guy episode??

Sarah needs to do whatever she can to stay in the headlines and relevant. Her book tour is done, and just like Jerry Jones, she continuously needs broad based media attention. After quitting her job and ghost writing a book, all she has left to cling to is spot ops on Fox and charging the "fiscally conservative" TEA party 100K to mumble on in a folksy way. . . .

Which is exactly why she said something publicly. Palin is media whore, and the (hilarious) Family Guy episode was merely an excuse to hoist that poor kid into the media, once again. If Palin cared more about her kid than political opportunity she'd have made her comments privately to Fox, the Family Guy writers, etc. But her shtick is to play the part of media victim/vacuous maverick. If anything, I'm disappointed that Family Guy pitched her such a softball reason to get all faux outraged.
