4 home, 4 away every year. flip flop home and away on the neutral site game with OU every year. the 5th home game every year will be the Texas/OU game, played on a neutral site.

I understand now. Both Texas and OK give up one of thier 5 home confernce games in exchange for one less road game when it's their turn to have 5 road games. Finally figured it out aka Florida vs.Georgia.

Ever hear of a win/win. TCU lends credibility to the Big East, and this conference is trying to desperately hold their automatic BCS birth, after year and uear having the weakest link in this conversation. This is a win/win. TCU gets to play better competition, though how much is debatable. TCU doesnt have to be perfect, and can still be in the 12+ mil BCS bowl.

I don't think it's debatable whatsoever. The MWC was worse than the WAC this year. New Mexico, UNLV, Wyoming, and Colorado St. are terrible teams/programs. BYU was way down this year (though made a late season charge after some coordinator changes), and Air Force, is a service academy that runs a gimmick offense. San Diego St., Utah, and TCU were the only legit teams in the conference this season.

The only really terrible teams in the WAC this season are New Mexico St., San Jose St., and Utah St.. Hawaii, Nevada, and Boise St. all are decent teams/programs.

Now, how much better this makes the Big East is debatable. It doesn't bring it up to "big 4" levels, and top-to-bottom, well.....they don't have Virginia, Wake Forest, and Duke to deal with, so they're probably cemented as the #5 conference. Especially if they aren't done poaching with expected invites to the likes of Central Florida in the works.

TCU is like the slut of all college athletic programs.

I think we've been in like seven conferences in the last twenty years.

Sir, you are mistaken. The Big East will be only our 5th conference: SWC, WAC, Conference USA & MWC being the others. Can we help it if we are just too damned attractive? It's like we are your overweight cousin with the cute face from the big city. Nobody there pays any attention to her, but when she comes to visit you in the small town, all the guys want to come over and party because she's the hottest thing they've ever seen.

Great move for the Frogs, even if auto qulifying is only guaranteed for a couple of years. Currently, if we lose one game (See Boise St.) we are out of the running for a BCS bid but in the Big East we can lose 1-2 games and still have a shot. It doesn't do anything for us as far as the national championship game goes, but I'd much rather get the $15M from the Orange Bowl than the $750k from the Pointsettia Bowl.

HA!

PS -- Not that all $15 million would get spent on academics (in the least), but with 7,500-ish undergrads, that $15 million is like $2,000 a student for financial aid, grants, research, equipment, facilities, flowers for the grounds (), etc. I'm a fan of the move.
