Avernus
Andy Reid making a name as the guru for black, athletic QBs. I still don't see how VY fits here in a WCO....he's thin skinned and not very bright...he'll have trouble picking up the offense and the fans will eat him up for it if he has to play.... I think Reid might be a genius and I think if anyone can turn VY into a consistent starter, it's Reid.

JUMbotron
@AdamSchefter Reports of deal between Eagles and Vince Young are interesting. Young is still on waivers and can not talk to teams till he clears waivers.
Cowboyz1
Consider this day a Suicide watch for VY. The city of brotherly love will destroy VY. He had better pray that Vick stays healthy. If VY has to start and loses games, the fans in Philly will absolutley crush this kid. He'll be slitting wrists on the way to the locker room. Bad move. He needs to be somewhere like SF. A kinder an gentler fan base. But Philly?

This is going back to another thread that talked about Reid starting to tailor the Philly offense to Vick. Style wise VY is similar to Vick. They both are able to run the ball, and have good throwing arms. I think VY has a lot to learn in Philly both on and off the field.

BearBroncos
Andy Reid making a name as the guru for black, athletic QBs. Eagles in general. Cunningham, Donovan, Vick and Young. They like thier QB's that have the ability to run as good as any RB. That's the one thing I've loved about the Eagles. They've always sought exciting QB's that can do multiple things with the ball. Avernus
might be me, but I bet we were saying the same thing about Mike Vick two years ago I actually thought we could turn Vick around because I liked his ability....I only questioned his accuracy, but I never considered him to be stoopid like I do VY....I just thought he was inaccurate as all hell

Turns out, he has performed better than I thought....but lets be honest, often he makes one read, then uses his feet....I think they likely expect VY to be able to do the same thing. The Wolf
What are the odds that Vick will miss a couple of games this year? Seems like in 16-team leagues, VY is a must roster, yeah? This is exactly why Philly will still need a veteran QB as Vick's backup. Talk Kerry Collins into unretiring?

Vick scored a 20, which was 27th of the starting QBs last year....Young scored a 15, which was 29th. and just FYI....Marino, Kelly and Bradshaw also scored 15's, so not sure its the most accurate measure out there? Point is, both Vick and Young both strike me as below-average in the intelligence department, and Reid was able to take a QB who many wondered if he was capable of running a complicated offense and turn him into an MVP-candidate. If he can do just half that with Young in a back-up role, I think we'll be fine using him in that capacity.
