I don't care if Ryan was playing the Jets at home, I wouldn't start Grossman... I'll be surprised if the guy goes 2 more games without turning back into a pumpkin. Ryan didn't have the prettiest game last night, but especially with all of the teams that the Falcons play that are able to put up big points, you should see more of those Matty Ice performances like you did at the end of last night.... His floor is still tremendously higher than Grossman's. No one has said that Grossman is better than Ryan or that he is the Second Coming, we are only talking about using him in under specific circumstances. hardway Posted September 19, 2011 Share Posted September 19, 2011 I started Fitz over Ryan yesterday. Fitz only scored 2.4 more points than Ryan in that league, so I would have been ok either way but those eagles corners scared me. But are you saying this guy simply is going to get better and outplay all of his past "bad" statistics? Like numbers on grass? Nah. I'm saying trying to plug 'n' play Grossman (or anyone like him) over Ryan is going to bite you regardless of the situation. It's overthinking an otherwise easy lineup decision.
