JezzTorrent
Hey all, new to fantasy football this year, haven't done much trading, could use some advice. 10-team Yahoo league, standard scoring, nothing fancy (re-draft, no flex, 1 TE required, 3 WR slots). Been offered a trade to get Jordan Reed, giving up Keenan Allen. TE has been a mess for me for weeks, I have Antonio Gates who has underperformed every week for a long time, but on the other hand Keenan Allen is good. The rest of my WR corp is Andre Johnson, Jordy Nelson, and Victor Cruz (and Rishad Matthews, who I picked up on a whim after his crazy Monday night performance. Not really going to rely on him quite yet ). Cruz has disappointed and Nelson is dealing with all the QB craziness at Green Bay (I have Aaron Rodgers too. Woo!) Anyway, am I crazy to make this trade? Should I continue rolling the dice with Gates? Is Allen expendable with my other WRs? Thanks, first time post, sorry for how long it is. (FYI, next week Allen is vs MIA, ranked 4th fewest to WR and Jordan Reed is @ PHI ranked 6th fewest to TEs, although this is not a one week play, still hoping to get into the playoffs)
jdragon1212
I would definitely do the trade. It's not crazy at all. You have 3 elite receivers and another capable backup. Having Jordan Reed at TE will tremendously help your team in my opinion

Montana is da Man
Do the trade. You have 4 viable receivers and can use a TE. It's an upgrade for you.
