Talk me out of cutting Trent Richardson!

It is clear in tonight's game that Donald Brown is the teams leading back. TRich has been an epic turd this year! I am considering dropping him out of spite after watching this game! I probably wont but wanted to hear what others have done with this scrub. My other backs in PPR are Reggie, Gio, and CJ1K. My #5 overall pick has been on my bench since week 3!!!

This shouldn't be a difficult decision as long as you use your head and eliminate the emotion you have over screwing up your first round pick. I was in a similiar situation regarding C.J. Spiller. I had the 2nd overall pick and I went against my gut and drafted Spiller because every "expert" out there was saying he was going to be huge this year. As we all know, he's not been worth the second overall pick. I was lucky enough to be able to trade him for a starter on my roster since he was never going to see my starting line-up now that my bye weeks are over for my other RB's. Richardson was expected to be worth a 1st/2nd round pick this year, but has played so poorly this year he really doesn't deserve to hold a roster spot. I know it sucks to cut ties and with someone you thought would be a centerpiece of your team, but after last night seeing Donald Brown (who I picked up weeks ago because I saw this coming) outplay him in ever facet of the game there is no way Trent gets his job back as a featured back. Basically he's a hand-cuff for Donald Brown. And while Donald Brown has been decent, he's not the type of back you hand-cuff. It's like going out and grabbing Mark Ingram and storing him on your roster to hand-cuff Pierre Thomas. It's a wasted roster spot. If I were you I'd go for best available player on the WW or pick up a defense that might help you in the playoffs based on their match-ups and store them on your roster.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
