robert terni
I'm 6-4 in my division and in 3rd place..Playing the 8-2 1st place team...Need help at my flex..PPR Jordy Nelson vs Gman (normally hes my every week starter but as of late I need more then 10 pts out of him, plus i read the giants have only allowed 1 offensive TD past 3 weeks) Ray Rice vs Bears (struggling BUT the bears are 25th against the run, I can see him getting 15+ pts this week) MJD vs Cards (been picking it up as of late) Please help me since this is killing me!! I do not want to make the wrong decision)
jtkelly
This is a tough one IMO. Rice will get carries (possibly a goal line TD) against a real bad run D but he has really stunk it up this year. Jordy can take one into the endzone at any point - even with Rodgers out. I would bet that the Giants give up at least 2 offensive td's this week. Personally, I'd go Jordy for the high reward ability. Rice should be a nice safe pick though. sausagekingchi
If you need a huge week you have to go with Nelson. He is the ONLY player on your list of options who has shown he's capable of doing that this year. MJD hasn't done much at all this season and he's facing an excellent run defense in Arizona. Rice has been the biggest bust in fantasy this year (which is saying something). I don't care what his match-up is he should be a permanent fixture on your bench. He had one good week this entire season when he scored two TD's against Miami. The thing with Rice is that he looks bad, it's not just the results. He looks slow, can't elude tacklers and goes down on first contact. He's the opposite of who we all knew coming into this season. Yes he may may get a score in a goal line situation this week, but when that is realistically the best you can hope for he's not your answer for a big week. One other thing to make you realize he's not going to have a big game: his longest run of the year is 14 yards. The Bears defense ranks near the bottom BECAUSE they give up big running plays, not because teams are generally marching down the field with 6 yards at a pop. It's been more like 10 carries for 25yds and then a back breaks a 30-40 yarder against them because their safeties can't tackle. They fail to make tackles on the second level and Rice has shown this season he can't even get to the second level. Nelson is the guy who can take it to the house and is your best bet at a big week.
INjobSIDE2
Agree with sausageking, if you need a big week you need to put players in who have the biggest potential. Basically you are going for the "high risk, high reward" type of deal. Rice might be a safer bet, but you will finish mediocre and you dont want that.
