TeachMeHowToDougie
Format: 10 teams, 2 divisions Regular Season - 11 weeks Playoffs - 3 rounds, 2 weeks per round, division winners get first round bye Scoring: 10 rush/rec yds = 1 pt 100+ rush/rec yds = 2 pts 200+ rush/rec yds = 5 pts 25 pass yds = 1 pt 300+ pass yds = 2 pts 400+ pass yds = 5 pts Pass/Rush/Rec/Misc TD = 6 pts turnover = -2 pts Roster: QB - Brady (DEN) RB - Charles (SD) RB - Stacy (CHI) RB/WR - Rashad Jennings (TEN) WR - Torrey Smith (NYJ) TE - Gronkowski (DEN) FLEX - Moreno (NE) OP - Romo (@NYG) D/ST - Chiefs (SD) K - Crosby (MIN) Bench - Andre Brown (DAL) Bench - Amendola (DEN) Bench - Jones-Drew (@HOU) Bench - Colts (@ARI) Bench - Spiller (BYE) Bench - Glennon (@DET) IR - Crabtree (@WSH) IR - Cobb (MIN) My Thoughts: Brady, Romo, & Gronk are both locks to start this week. I feel good about the Chiefs bouncing back. I feel good about Crosby playing indoors. Charles - I'm very worried about Charles in the second half. Until this year he wasn't a big TD guy. His workload has put him in a situation where his yards/carry are way down. And now he hasn't scored since week 7. However he is Jamaal Charles and pretty much has to start every week. Stacy - One of the hottest backs in the league. A must start against a weak Bears Defense. Jennings - 3 great weeks in a row. This guy is unproven, but he's hot and he has a juicy matchup against the Titans who have let up 10 rushing TDs in the past 5 games. Torrey Smith - I'm not wild about him, but I think he's better than Amendola. The Jets have a good defense, but I think they are vulnerable to getting burnt deep and Flacco likes to take shots down field. Moreno - Red zone carries is really what makes Moreno so good. Ball vulturing 2 of those carries is very concerning to me. Moreno could quickly lose all of his fantasy value if he loses his goal line touches. He hasn't scored since week 8 and hasn't had a rushing TD since week 7! Yikes! I feel I have to give him another shot this week against New England's hobbling defense. Andre Brown - I know the Cowboys are last in the league against RBs. However they have maybe had one of the toughest schedules against RBs in the league. They've face Charles, McCoy, Peterson, Morris, Bush, & Moreno. I feel that the Cowboys are weak against pass catching backs. Look at the 63 pts they gave up to NO and the 33 pts they gave up to SD. The Cowboys are coming off a bye and I think they will fix their defensive problems against the rush. The Cowboys are capable of stuffing the run. They held Charles & McCoy to a combined 3.2 yds/carry. I have a hunch that they will keep Brown somewhat in check. I have Brown projected for 65 yards and 1 TD. Amendola - Last week was a bad matchup for him. The Panthers have the fastest linebackers in the NFL. I really want to play him against the Broncos, but Brady spreads the ball around too much in this offense, so I can't assume he'll have 100-150 yards. And I don't see him getting enough red zone targets. I think those will mostly go to Gronk or the RBs. And I'd bet my money on Dobson or Thompkins getting a score over Amendola. I have Amendola projected for 80 yards and 0 TDs. Jones-Drew - No way I'm starting him next week. That offense is anemic without Blackmon. smr1986
The only difference is I like Brown this week- it's windy in NYC, and I think both teams will have trouble throwing the ball. I'm actually starting Brown over Chris Johnson this week for the matchup.
