wpayers
Entering the semi-finals and my weakest link is Cruz. He's ice cold and has SEA coming up. I am an advocate of never bench your studs but Cruz has lost his studliness. Patterson is available on the WW, is finally living up to his potential and is riding a nice streak. But can he be trusted??? Would you bench Cruz for Patterson? I also have Crabtree sitting on the bench but don't see him back to 100%. Rimmytose
I'm looking at Patterson myself and the one thing I've been watching is the status of Peterson for this game. If Peterson can't go Patterson may not see as much daylight as he has been.

TobyG is no AP so the run game will be so-so.
mojo chiefs
I would sit cruz against the hawks not just because of there d but because Eli has not been on this year at all. Can you get J Jones or Brown from the Ravens. The lions give up a lot of points to WR. Not sure about Patterson but he has been playing great the last few weeks. kevday123
I'm in the same position as you. I benched Cruz for Crabtree. He saw a significant rise in his playing time last week. also Revis should be covering Boldin so that leaves some open room for crabtree to work.
Doc_Brown_1955
I will be benching Cruz myself, as I have Bowe. Don't know if I do it for Crabtree though.
koralkillers
I have both Crabtree and Cruz and Im going with Cruz at WR3...He plays better at home and Giants are going to have to be throwing...

Your are right...but lately more throwing for ELI has meant more picks. I am still on the fence. So far, its Cruz by a nose over Patterson with Crabtree fading fast. More thoughts??? Fantasyguy123
Who else do you have on the waivers or on your bench?
wpayers
Who else do you have on the waivers or on your bench? We start 2 WRs. Here are my choices: Jeffery (definite start) Cruz Crabtree Patterson Marlon Brown, Nicks, Kendall Wright, Marvin Jones and Cotchery are on WW. FUBARED
In one league I'm sitting Cruz and playing M. Brown. That'll teach him to screw me week after week.
Chuckyone
Fair point. But if Peterson is out the Vikes may push the passing game and feature Patterson. TobyG is no AP so the run game will be so-so. Which is why Patterson would see more coverage his way as the defense doesn't need to focus on the run like it would with Peterson in there, even a healthy Gerhardt would make the D respect the run. The Vikes can push the passing game all they want, if they have no run game the defense respects they will focus on shutting down the pass because the run game isn't hurting them. Being a rookie he doesn't have the skills/experience to break double teams yet. Having said that, Philly is still 30-31st against the pass and Vikes are at home. Plus, Cassel can still throw it and targeted him 7 times against a better pass D than the Eagles. The Vikes seem to be game planning a bit more to get him the ball. Imo Patterson emerging as he seems to be, at home against a 30th ranked pass D is preferable to Cruz against a #1 pass d with the putrid Eli throwing to him. Good luck with whatever you decide. wildbluefan
No way I could (and am) playing Cruz in the fantasy playoffs ! Especially vs Richie sherman
Swashbucklers
Am sitting Cruz for Patterson, but we get return yards in that league, so it is a no-brainer. My question becomes Cruz or Roddy White or Steve Smith. AM leaning towards Roddy since he has a pretty good matchup!
Marmite
I'm in a similar situation. I need to bench one of these WRs: Patterson, Cordarrelle...PHI Hilton, T.Y......................HOU Cruz, Victor....................SEA Douglas, Harry...............WAS Its a sorry looking group but I lost Cobb and Julio Jones and have been lucky to stay afloat in my league. I didn't think I would have much of a chance in the playoffs but my opponent started Peyton Manning, Knowshon Moreno, and Eric Decker last night leaving me an outside shot. Before last nights game I was leaning towards Patterson because I don't see AP playing and with Gehrart hurting I think the Vikings will throw a lot. The thing that worries me most about Cordelle is with no threat of a running game the Eagles will probably play two deep safeties and I'm not sure he gets the big play he needs. Cruz has a tough matchup but I still think he is the safer start. Bottom line for me is Patterson is a bigger risk but with more upside. Out of that group you can't bench Douglas and TY. So it comes down to my same situation. Interestingly, my opponent also had Decker and Moreno last night and I got by only being down 8pts. The other team is still loaded so I need upside...thus I am leaning to Patterson over Cruz. Also, this just in on the Vikes running game: http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/279210/vikes-list-peterson--and--gerhart-as-questionable
MikesVikes
I'm playing Patterson over Cruz. Cruz is my final consideration for the week. Patterson won't have Ponder trying to throw the ball to him this weekend.
