Good Morning Irish!

Time to talk waiver wire please.  Current roster:

QB - Hill, Brees (IR spot)

RB - CMC, Sanders, Swift, Duke, Pollard

WR - Hopkins, Claypool, Curtis Samuel, Hilton, Tee Higgins

TE - Fant, Goedert

K - Succop

DST - PIT

Top WW options:

Hurts

Goff

Cousins

Rivers

Mayfield

Trubisky

Bowden (WR/RB eligible in my league)

Jeff Wilson

R. Higgins

Gage

Patrick

AB

MVS

Irv Smith

Lutz

Bass

**UPDATE**  Succop on COVID IR - will have to pickup Lutz or Tyler Bass. Was also thinking maybe I could use Hurts, Wilson, and/or Bowden on my bench?  Maybe drop Succor, Pollard, and Duke?

Your thoughts?

Thank you!

Slim

I have to start one of these guys for week 15.   .5 PPR. Assuming that Mostert is out for the 49ers.

Kareem Hunt @ NYG

(seems like he should be the pick and looked good on Monday Night but that was after the Browns fell behind. Probably won't be a negative game script against NYG, so I'm a bit hesitant. Should I be?)

Jeff Wilson Jr. @ DAL

(some uncertainty still if Mostert is going to be out or if this will be a split backfield again, but going against a horrible run defense Dallas and with Samuel out the niners May look to just run the cowboys off the field)

I feel what you're saying but I'm starting Ridley and McLaurin.  And an argument could be made for Johnson over Taylor in the flex, which is what I'd do in a ppr.

Looks like I should have started Aiyuk over McLaurin and Taylor over Diontae 😂. Luckily squeaked out a win!

I still like the Hill/Brees combo more then the other options. I like Pollard but Wilson's upside more. Is Fournette or Snell available?  Jones has fine surgery and will miss at least a week and Connor isn't looking good and the Steelers play the Bengals.

You'll probably start

Hill

Sanders and Swift

Hopkins, Hilton

Higgins/ Samuel

Goedert

Succop

Pitt

Not interested in the other WRs or TE.

Thoughts?

Team 1

I'd start Murray and do Gaskin to add Sanders and start him over Davis.

Team 2

I like your lineup as is and think adding Fournette, with Jones out, for Mixon is a good thought. Just won't be starting him yet.

No, Fournette and Snell are not available.
I should drop Duke first, correct?  Duke for Wilson, if I can get him?

What about Bowden if I can’t get Wilson?

No interest in Hurts for week 16?

I'll do the best I can to give my 2 cents and try to help. I know nothing more than any of you but I do know that it feels good to chat about those weekly frustrating decisions and have people to commiserate with and even blame. ;)

Hows it going Irish would you go with Any other defense this week other than the Ravens??? Have JRob going and don't like 2 double dip or spread the points between Stud player and defense. Available is Miami, Buffalo or Tennessee??? Keeping Ravens aswell for championship against the Giants aswell.

Not big on adding Wilson or Bowden. I'd hold off on Hurts.

Nope, I'd keep the Ravens. The Bills would be 2nd.

BTW, that was my opening post in this thread, having people to commiserate with and blame, lol!

Easy for you to say!

So, what?  Add Wilson, but not Bowden?

Drop Duke or Pollard?

Ha!

Well, I was just a bit unclear with the 'fancy grammar' you were using last night, so here's what I ended up doing.

Dropped Pollard and added Wilson.

Since I got Wilson, I dropped The Duke (David Johnson is due back this week) and I went ahead and added Hurts for several reasons.

Firstly, I didn't want my semifinal opponent using him against me (he only has Ryan who has been bad).

Secondly, I'm concerned that when Brees is back, that he and Hill might spilt time to work Brees in slowly.

And finally, Hurts may be a really great QB play for week 16 against Dallas.  Maybe even this week.

Thoughts on that move?

Also, I added Tyler Bass because Succop is on the COVID list.

So now I have:

QB - Hill, Hurts, Brees (IR spot)

RB - CMC, Sanders, Swift, Wilson

WR - Hopkins, Claypool, Curtis Samuel, Hilton, Tee Higgins

TE - Fant, Goedert

K - Bass

DST - PIT

So, as of right now Bowden is still available if you think maybe he's a better hold than Higgins maybe?  Especially since he's WR/RB eligible ?

Also, Lutz is available.  I picked up Bass instead because I see him ranked in the top 5 this week and Lutz was outside the top 10.

Thoughts?

Adding Bass was a good move I think he's top 3 this week.

I think that was a smart move grabbing Hurts as he's definitely a better play against the Cowboys next week and could start for you this week.

I'm just not seeing Bowden cracking your lineup.

ETA- My grammar and word usage were off the charts last night, right!  That's what an hour soak in the hot tub will do to ya. LoL

Alrighty then.  Bowden stays off my roster.

We'll see what happens with Brees this week before deciding if it's gonna be Hill, Hurts, or Brees in my lineup.

And if Mohstert is out against Dallas, Wilson would be a must start, don't you think?

Yeah, pretty much on Wilson if Mostert is out.

1/2ppr consolation game.  Week 15 only.

JConner @ Cin.  or    Jeff Wilson @ Dal.

Obviously Conner, right?  But game plan, miniscule holes from the OLine, and his trend of health/fragility has me very concerned.  So, now, not so obvious.  Wilson is a tank with far more TD potential and Mostert is basically never 100%.  So...

Also if you have a moment, can you confirm my choices:

QB:  BigBen > J Hurts

FLEX:  TY Hilton > AntonionBrown/keke/cooks/thiggins/

I think Wilson makes for a better start over Connor.

Big Ben seems like the better start but Hurts should be playing from behind and therefore, might post better numbers.  Whereas, the Steelers should be running the clock out.

Hilton in the flex.
