hammer1deep
Got an offer in a 12 team league. Ellington, Jonas Gray and McKinnon for DeMarco Murray. Team: Kap Forsett Ellington Gray McKinnon Sproles Julio Dez Matthews Harvin Bowe Andrew Hawkins
turbinator
Yeah, I'd definitely take that. You'd have murray and forsett as your starting rbs.
willswear3
With byes done(pretty much) you have two RBs you won't use(McKinnon and Gray) plus one you will(Ellington). While depth is important typically, this late in the season I'd rather the significant upgrade at your RB1, and I'm willing to sacrifice the depth. sksmith
^yeah, but no backup... Sproles is barely flex worthy at this point; he'd really need to be able to p/u J Randle for insurance this late in the season What about 2 of those RBs and 1 WR (Bowe or Harvin)? hammer1deep
Thanks. I agree about the depth, at this point who cares. Plus Ellington and McKinnon have a tough schedule through the playoffs
willswear3
Ellington especially. I do agree with SKSmith however, if you can get him to take a WR not a RB I'd go for it. And pick up Randle like he said.
hammer1deep
Randle is gone and the waivers are real thin. My thought is I'm trying to win this thing. Gray and McKinnon are on my bench more than likely. Play Murray, Forsett (both of them have nice playoff schedules) and Dez, Julio and Matthews
willswear3
Yeah go for it.
tdybaz
Holy cow, yeah you'd lack depth, but like you said... at this point in the year, who cares. I'd do that deal 10 times out of
Peppermint26
Why isn't the deal done yet? I would not hesitate in that one. Take Murray and roll thru the playoffs
Montana is da Man
Your risk here is if Murray gets injured, your team will likely not bring home the title. With that being said, it's a risk worth taking.
HHM
I would do that trade and back up Murray with Randle. McKinnon has not produced too much and Ben Tate may have made this worse in the future. It's hard to trust consistent production with NE RBs. Ellington is one of my sell high candidates...he has been solid in points but has a very tough schedule and his YPC has been terrible recently.
