Keep J. Charles or Grab AP (#1 Pick) Keeper League

Okay, I inherited a team in a 12-team keeper league and Jamaal Charles would be my keeper and I have the #1 pick. The first round is for keepers if we choose to keep someone. If I keep JC then that's my first round pick and then I can pick someone at #13. I won't know who is keeping who until an hour before the draft which is Wednesday.

My picks.

1-1-1

2-1-13

3-12-36

4-1-37

so on and so on...

What would you do?

You want AP over Charles but it's close.. I think MN is trending up on O-fense and I think AP could get back to the 100+ 2td per game opportunity, although Bridgewater is competent throwing in the red zone and Charles is also a 2 td per game type a guy.. either way will work AP can break for long runs and TD's, MN should be able to keep 8 out of the box with throwing something AP hasn't seen for awhile.

If you don't keep Charles, and someone does keep AP, couldn't you just take Charles again with the #1 keeper round pick?

This is my thoughts as well.

With the #1 pick, and it not starting off serpentine, thus having the first pick in the "draft" as well as first pick in the keeper round, there is no reason for you to keep anyone.

Toss em all back, wait and see who is kept, then make your decision from there.

Personally I have AP ahead of Charles, but it's close.
