Josh Robinson v Christine Michael

This is a full PPR league with a very short bench (only 5 players). I picked up Christine Michael, but am looking at getting Josh Robinson instead, especially with word that the Colts plan to take it easy with Gore.

My other non-starters are Martavis Bryant, Stafford, Hillman, and Agholor. I'm not ready to part with any of them. Stafford is qb2 to Brady in this lineup, I'll be working on a deal as I'm thin at RB (Woodhead is RB2), so I'm looking for somthing to break with either Hillman or Michael/Robinson.

Thoughts?

You follow the Cowboys more than I do I'm sure. Isn't Michael just depth, who will get the occasional shot to hit a home run like Felix Jones was? I'd hate to have him in my lineup not knowing what his role is getting the rock. I doubt there is much of one. But I really think IND is just waiting for Vick Ballard to get to 100%.

Interesting point about Ballard. Ballard can never stay on the field, it seems. I saw a bit of Robinson during the pre-season, and he looked pretty good. That said, Robinson is kinda dinged already (getting over a concussion). It was a 12 team draft, so there isn't much on the vine right now.

I wouldn't really want either of these guys. Michaels isn't really gonna be a starting running back in your league unless both Randle and McFadden get hurt. Also, Dunbar would be taking a big percentage of the carries from him even if that were to happen. If you were to pick up one, i would choose Josh Robinson.

Like I said, I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel for a RB right now who may later be a RB2 for a while. I think Run DMC will be the most active in the Dallas backfield early in the year....until he gets hurt. By then, Michael may be up to speed.

The other side of the coin is that with the short benches, there usually is a player available when needed. It's very difficult to keep your RB1 handcuffed in this league. You just need the proper waiver position to grab the player you need. I'm just looking to get ahead of the game.
