Ootter
12 team standard league (Friends and Family, small buyin). Picked 7th. Max 4 of any position. Decided to go wr into double top tier tight ends thinking they will more then likely out score most wide receivers week to week. It was something I have never tried and just wanted to do it for fun. What do you guys think? Weaknesses? Strengths? Qb: Philip Rivers / Joe Flacco Wr: DeAndre Hopkins / Amari Cooper / Josh Gordon / Chris Hogan Rb: Derrick Henry / Kenyan Drake / Chris Carson / Marshawn Lyncy Te: Rob Gronkowski / Zach Ertz K: Will Lutz Idp: Jatavis Brown Def: Chicago Bears Starting Lineup: Rivers, Hopkins, Cooper, Gronkowski, Ertz, Drake, Henry, Lutz, Bears, Brown. Montana is da Man
For a zero RB draft, I'm ok with you rbs. Henry is a goal line vulture and I really like Drake this year. Carson isn't a bad 3rd RB. I like your receivers and you obviously have 2 of the top 3 TE's It could be a lot worse
Ootter
Yeah I wanted to have fun. I would have taken a top rb if it had fallen to 7 but that didn't happen and ab was grabbed at 6. So I figured Hopkins into a wr te heavy line up. I was happy with my rbs. I almost had Alex Collins and Joe Mixon in round 7. But they got taken just before me. robotpimp
For a 12 team league it's pretty solid at RB, being that it's standard you didn't have to go after pass-catching backs. You have decent WR's but they also are a little boom/busty outside d-hop, of course I totally dig boom bust WR's in standard so I'd roll with Dhop, Cooper, Gordon any day.. Gronk levels it out. Rivers is solid and is always good late QB value. I really like you went late RB's and still have all starters with depth.
buckemdown
Problem with Gronk is that he misses games every year. I like the idea of drafting Ertz for the flex. You are right he will likely outscore a lot of WR2's. It's not how I would have strategized and I'm not exactly fond of the bench options outside of Hogan. But your starters are good. However, I'm a bit puzzled. You only start 1 IDP player and you go with Jatavis Brown? He doesn't even make my top 50 LB list.
Ootter
I didn't draft him. I chose to not draft an idp and just grabbed him off the FA. I normally ride a hot hand lb for the idp spot. I'll have to look at who is available but I had him last year and he did well.

I dropped him and switched to Blake Martinez
buckemdown
No problem. As a Packer fan I like Blake but I have him ranked #15 at LB. If Jarrad Davis is available I would recommend him over Blake. Good luck.
