Drafting tonight, thoughts on Bell?

Let someone else take him. He went 3rd (right before me picking 4th) in my draft last night...   If the other top 6-7 RBs are off the board, then I probably consider taking the shot

I took Conner in 11th round in that draft but I would probably today say 8th-9th round and maybe 7th-8th if you take a flyer on Bell at end of 1st or 2nd round

Yea I definitely wouldn’t love taking him. But I’m sitting at pick 7 and if he falls to me there or even if massive overreactions happen and he falls to 14 it’s going to be hard to pass up

From Forbes 30 mins ago:

Bell didn't report to the Steelers on Wednesday, and if comments by Bell's agent, Adisa Bakari, to SiriusXM NFL Radio prove accurate, it appears it may be quite some time before one of the league's most talented players takes the field for the Steelers in 2018. The plan now seems to be preserving Bell's health and preventing wear-and-tear ahead of Bell's expected 2019 free agency.

Bakari seemed to imply that Bell may sit out through Week 10 (or more specifically, the afternoon of November 13), the latest he can continue his holdout without being forced, by league rules, to miss all chances to play during the 2018 season. While he didn't say it outright, when asked by SiriusXM's Brady Quinn, Bakari responded, "You can read between those lines." Later, on ESPN's NFL Live, Bakari elaborated somewhat, saying, "[Bell is] going to do the things necessary to protect his value long-term."

That eye toward the future is not a bad approach for Bell, who totaled a league-leading 406 touches (321 carries and 85 catches) during the 2017 regular season. The 26-year old is trying to limit the exposure to potential damage done to his body for a team that hasn't given him the job security and financial compensation he's been seeking in order to keep his value high for interested teams next March. And while this will cost him $855,529 in pay each week he sits out while failing to sign the $14.544 million franchise tag, his nearly $15 million in career earnings to date allows him to blow off (potentially most of) his 2018 payday with an eye towards making up the difference next year.

Picking 7th, not looking to touch him in the first. But if he falls to the second or third and ends up reporting that could be huge...

Ya it depends on who’s there for you. But with you at 7th I wouldn’t take him with your 2nd pick either. I had the 2nd pick in a 12 team league a couple weekends ago and took him over David Johnson. I am obviously regretting that now. I thought he would return this week just like last year.

Still interesting because he will clearly play this season (starting Week 11 at the latest).  That means he will be around for the playoffs and whoever gets him late, will have a big jump over the competition.  Yes, you have to hold him on the bench while he doesn't play, but I usually like to stock pile as much as I can for the playoffs.

I'm picking 8th tonight and really hope somebody takes him before I pick at 8

Yea, luckily he went 5th and I got to snag Conner in the 9th. So selfishly thinking...go get your money Lev. And sit as long as it takes to get it hahaha
