michaelredd9
Does anyone else have the feeling that Jordan Wilkins will win the Colts' starting running back job? Jim Irsay may think that Marlon Mack will get 1,500 yards but I don't see it. Marlon Mack was thoroughly mediocre last year. His low ypc might have been the fault of the offensive line but he was also bad at pass protection and as a receiver. Wilkins, on the other hand, is great at pass protection and receiving. He had the 4th highest PFF pass block grade in the college ranks last year. The Colts are going to be extra careful with Luck's health. That definitely favors Wilkins. To say that a great quarterback benefits their team's running back is an understatement. Running backs who play with a great quarterback both see less defensive focus and see more goal line opportunities. Great quarterbacks almost always have a running back that does well fantasywise. Maybe Luck isn't great anymore. But maybe Luck is still great. Additionally, the Colts could have the most improved offensive line in the league. Quenton Nelson looks like he could be a All-Pro caliber run blocker. This could be a great situation for whichever running back wins the starting job. My money is on Wilkins. Chaim Witz
I swear, I just came on here to post a similar thought. Granted, I took Wilkins as a crapshoot keeper towards the end of my draft, and keep wondering if I should just pick up someone else before tomorrow's games. I hope what you posited comes to fruition, but I'm having my doubts they won't just sit him, once Mack returns.

One thing to keep in mind is that Mack doesn't have the normal veteran advantage because the Colts have a new offensive system. And since Mack has missed the last month of practice with a bad hammy, Wilkins is actually the more experienced of the two.
Shorttynaz
Anyone who expects a winner is foolish. Its seriously a 4-way RBBC, 5-way when Turbin returns. Mack Hines Turbin (although suspended) Wilkins Michael
Bobby Brown
Mack should be the starter when healthy. He ran a lot, scored a lot, and caught passes at South Florida. Does MR get paid everytime he mentions PFF?
SpinalTapp
Any homers know how Wilkins will be used? Id consider playing him but worry it will be Christine Michael inside the 20 all day.

I don’t think they will risk Luck getting injured by asking that moron to block. Edited September 9, 2018 by DanTheMan_5

He'll face a Bengals run defense that is missing WLB Vontaze Burfict (hamstring) but remains largely stout up front. Of more concern for Wilkins' fantasy outlook is his RBBC with Christine Michael and Nyheim Hines. New Colts coach Frank Reich was a committee-backfield proponent during his time in Philadelphia. Sep 9 - 12:02 PM Hate to burst your bubble but I'm starting Wilkins in 2 leagues today. Scared?
