Trade vetoed. What should I do?

I traded McCoy, Crabtree, and Crowell for Zeke and the league vetoed it. We've gone over vetoes before the draft and everyone agreed that a veto would only take place if there was clear collusion. We made the trade, which gave him better depth at RB and a WR that was better than his current ones. The kicker here is that a member in the league posted on the league facebook page for everyone to go veto the trade, so if anything I see that as clear collusion. Thoughts?

If they agreed to only veto if it was clearly, without a doubt, collusion, and they have no way to prove yall were colluding.. then I'd tell them to to let the trade go through, or to give me my money back and leave the league.

I'd definitely say that I'd rather have Zeke, but the trades not absurd for depth purposes

Crap trade though. It probably made your team too powerful, which would not be fair. Let me guess, others feel you took advantage of the other owner?

So vetoed because other owners were jealous and do not like to see other teams rosters improve that aren't their own? I hate this mentality and is the reason why I don't like to play in leagues where owners can vote to veto trades.

If he’s taking advantage of a guy who doesn’t know any better or doesn’t care enough about his team or the league to not make crap trades, then yes, you veto it. Depth my ass, this trade is just dumb.

That's a totally fair trade. Sounds like you play in a league of crybabys. That's why all real (actually competive) leagues don't even have the veto option, they can just trust the commish to stop absurd trades which this isnt. Pegos people like you ruin leagues.

The person on the McCoy side knows what they are doing. They are not getting taken advantage of. Is this a 5 year kid? I doubt it, adults can make their own decisions. Let the league know your intentions to leave the league, if they can find someone to take over your league for the year then hand over the team.

Not everyone has the luxury of playing in “real (actually competitive)” leagues with dedicated, competent commissioners. I’d say the majority of FF players don’t. I’d also say the majority of FF players prioritize FF pretty low the ‘important things in life’ scale. OP’s dilemma is pretty common, and I, as well as most casual FF players (normal, non FF obsessed people) can relate.

You can think the veto is right or wrong all you want, for whatever reasons you want, but common sense tells me this trade is ridiculous.

You are saying its a lopsided trade without knowing the league. How many teams? How many positions. Crabtree is a #3 WR and Crowell is a #3 RB in my league.

That's besides the point everyone else in the league had a chance to make a trade for Zeke and they didn't.

Zeke could break his leg tonight.

And finally both people that made the trade are grown ups and made it thinking it would help their teams. Veto button is not a sore loser button.

Well, IF the only reason agreed upon was clear collusion AND that was clearly understood, then you have a case.  Even though it is on the surface a bad trade, it's crap that someone would go on and actively try to get everyone to vote against it!  I'd make them prove the collusion, and if they can't then 2 options: allow the trade OR you bounce out with any money paid returned.

Yes I would rather have Zeke but there is no way this trade should have been vetoed.  I can make a very compelling argument that Shady alone will outproduce Zeke in 2018 and it isn't even that far fetched or require Zeke getting hurt.  Adding a WR2 in Grabtree and RB3 in Crowell is plenty to make this a 'fair' trade.  Any owner that feels the need to speak out to other owners about a vetoing a trade would immediately be tossed in any league I am in.  That is more collusion than anything else about this trade.

It is a crap deal of a mid-level guy (over-rated and anyone who logically saw Buffalo's talent pre-season saw this train wreck about to happen) and waiver filler for a 1st round pick

Someone offered me McCoy for AJ Green before yesterday's game and I laughed at him

Thank you, voice of reason

Trade should not have been shot down there is nothing wrong with that trade. I also would never play in a league that allows voting on trades. The other people in the league have no right to tell someone else how to run their team. Crowell is a nice flex player, Crabtree is a starting WR and McCoy is a starting RB. My advice is tell them they either allow the trade or give you your money back and leave
