gballi15
Trade being offered to me: I get Conner/Diggs and give him my Johnson. Good trade?? My team is League 2 in my signature. His: Zeke, Conner, Collins, Duke Johnson, Yeldon, Hill, JuJu, Diggs, Marshall, Enunwa, Reed, Eifert
Shorttynaz
I would do that in a heartbeat. The Cardinals are trash (no offense to Cardinal fans, I'm one too). But their O-line is sub-par, and their passing game is rancid. David Johnson won't finish anywhere close with the season he had 2 years ago. Even if Bell comes back, Connor will be relevant to an extent. And you get Diggs? I would have already accepted. That's my worry. But I do worry about Conner if/when Bell comes back.
gballi15
Or, if I could one of the owner's to go for it, which would be a better trade: A. This one B. Howard/Fitz C. Miller/Hilton
League_Champion
David Johnson? No way!! You need to get more than that back. DJ was a top 5 pick in most drafts.
Shaft
Absolutely not, you can get more for DJ.
Shorttynaz
To the credit of the other posters, I agree. You can probably get more for David Johnson, but I would be actively shopping him. Cardinals have the Rams this week and he's gonna have yet another dud. His value will plummet after this week. But if Connor/Diggs is the best you can do - it could be worse. By the end of the season, you will have won in that trade.
Montana is da Man
I would make that trade but I think you should aim higher for a top 3 or 4 pick. Package Johnson and see if you can get gurley

It's obvious I need some help, and I can't just let him go straight up because my RB corp is too weak. And it's a 12 team league, so finding a good combo is hard. So who should I target (RB or WR) as the base for 2-for-1 trade? Edited September 11, 2018 by gballi15

Giving up a top 5 pick for a barely drafted Conner and a mid round Diggs is terrible value.

His WR's are terrible so any upgrade there should entice the owner
gballi15
Back to the original topic, I am now being offered Conner/Hill for Johnson?
Shorttynaz
If you're referring to Hill from the Chiefs, I can't figure out why you're wasting your time here asking instead of accepting before dude comes to his senses.

I'd have no problem with you pulling the trigger but I don't think I could. Johnson was a top 5 pick in most of my leagues. Conner could be a short term rental for all you know. Getting Hill back definitely softens the blows but it's still risky.

Not saying there's anything wrong with valuing a player based on where he was picked, and most people do it - however, once the draft is complete and the season has started, all that goes out the window. Look at Trent Richardson of a few years ago. He was a first half 1st round draft pick in most leagues. Look at CJ Anderson of 2 years ago, same thing. It was clear early on that these guys were not going to live up to where they were drafted - and in my opinion, David Johnson fits this bill to a "T". If I had him, I would be trying everything in my power to move him immediately.
DannyV
Take it. You need a boost with your WRs and Hill will more than fix that need. Conner may do better than Johnson for the time being and the time being seems to keep extending!

Neither Richardson or CJ Anderson had the year that DJ had two season ago. You're basing this off of one game in which he only had 9 carries? I think you're off on this one. This is a good discussion to have. Only time will tell. With that being said, you can easily pull a WR1 with DJ in a trade.
rocca2112
Looking at your team... If you give away Johnson and Bell comes back, who would you start at RB?

And he put up another turd - I'll still stick to my claim that he will be this years biggest fantasy 1st round bust. Yes, it's only been 2 games now but so far someone has been pretty well spot on and the other is way off. The CardinaLOLs O-line is still trash, and their passing game is even worse. Hopefully the OP pulled the trigger last week cause I can only imagine the other party this week is like NO WAY!!
seahawk3133
Shortty is dead on... If you are a RB on a team that can't score - you aren't a first round pick.. Arizona hasn't been able to score even in garbage time in the first two games & the Redskins stink. 85 yards rushing & only 6 catches doesn't bode well even for idea he will put up a ton of yards and just not get many TDs I'd take either deal and try to flip Conner if you are scared of Bell returning

Shorttynaz
Just giving you a hard time man. It's not like David Johnson didn't show up at all and week one. It's not like he didn't show up yesterday although yesterday he put up less fantasy points that he did Week 1. The Rams are nothing to sneeze at either. So when it's all said and done I could easily be the one that ends up with egg on my face
