lordboofington
I have someone offering me Alex Collins and Michael Thomas for Todd Gurley. I also have Jay Ajayi and Devonta Freeman as my other RB's. My best WR is Mike Evans. Is this trade as good as it seems?

I'd need an Antonio Brown type for Gurley.
lordboofington
Thats what I think too. Plus if Alex Collins didnt pan out id be pretty thin at RB
League_Champion
I like Michael Thomas a lot but he's not in Gurley's league. Gurley might be the best in all of fantasy.
Montana is da Man
Yeah, not enough. Gurley costs more
purplemonster
Agree Gurley is too money. Not sure there is anyone Id trade for him straight up. Kamara maybe, and even then probably not. The add on of Collins isnt worth much Edited September 13, 2018 by purplemonster
oG1KeNoBi
Alex Collins will be good this year, especially since Dixon is hurt. They literally took him out of the game last week bc they were up 40-3. Ravens shouldn't be doing that to too many other teams if any at all this year. Who is his best RB? League_Champion
You'd have to get Thomas + an RB1 back without question.
JumpingJehosaphat
I kinda like the trade. I don’t think that Gurley will outscore Thomas-Collins week to week.

purplemonster
Yeah I had Collins and he got iffy week to week. I just dont like giving up a money RB for a very good WR + iffiness

The relevant equation isn't what points are involved in the trade (Thomas/Collins vs. Gurley), it's what effect does it have on his team (Thomas/Collins vs. Gurley/replacement WR). Assuming it's a 3 WR league, if the gap between Thomas and his current WR3 is less than the gap between Gurley and Collins, which may very well be the case, then it would be pretty tough to accept the trade. It's obviously a little bit more complicated, one wrinkle being the value of depth at different positions (i.e.is WR easier to spot-start than RB?), but i agree with most others in that i'd need a better RB in return. Good analysis. You can't give up the best fantasy player and get better. That's not how it works. Especially if you throw out names like Collins. He's a spot flex at best.
