Copeingwithfailure
Is Breida the real deal? Take away his 66 yard TD and it looks okay. Silly me dropped him before the games... but I am number one on waivers. Can't decide if he is for REAL.
kdko
He is real. Definitely the better back between him and Morris. I wouldn't be surprised if they completely phased out Morris. You want the #1 back in a Shanny offense.
loaf
I drafted him in a couple leagues and actually started him in one last Sunday. Looks like I'm going to be starting him more often in both leagues.

Shanny will find more ways to use him.
PPIchamp
Brieda graded out well in PFF's ratings last year, and is grading even better so far this year. It's a small sample size but enough to qualify, atm Breida is the #2 overall rated RB only behind Ekeler. He's younger, with less miles, and a pass catcher. Morris is the #51 PFF rated RB (out of the 53 qualifiers). Edited September 18, 2018 by PPIchamp

I agree, they could easily phase Morris out... if Brieda ends up being for real.
MrMom
How is he the "real deal" when he had ONE good game? Against Detroit...… lol He busted out for a 66 yard run. Alfred Morris still had more carries than him Edited September 18, 2018 by MrMomFister

dope man
I have him in 2 leagues. Started him as a flex week 2 in one. The other league I also have D.Johnson, Barkley and James Conner...don’t know how I will get to fit him in in that league. I like these kind of problems though! Copeingwithfailure
update: chose not to use my waiver on him. To my surprise when I checked the activity at 630 this morning, no one used a waiver on him. Sorry Brandon Marshall (whom I dropped Breida for), back to free agency for you. Hello Breida, my old friend.
kdko
Breida was a SPARQ freak too. I think like in the 99th percentile.
kdko
This was posted elsewhere. Morris looks pedestrian next to this guy, it won't remain 50/50 for long 1st & 10 at SF 10 (10:43 - 1st) M.Breida right tackle to SF 38 for 28 yards (T.Tabor). 1st & 10 at SF 14 (1:37 - 3rd) M.Breida left tackle to SF 34 for 20 yards (N.Lawson, Q.Diggs). 1st & 10 at SF 34 (0:52 - 3rd) Matt Breida 66 Yard Rush R.Gould extra point is GOOD, Center-K.Nelson, Holder-B.Pinion. Not many RB's have that kind of shake in the bake in the league, and if there's someone that can utilize a SPARQ freak to their potential it's Shanny. dope man
Starting him in 3 leagues tomorrow.(just traded for him in one)....one league I am sitting David Johnson to play him. Gonna have a very big day and take over the Niners backfield duties!
Bier Meister
i like him. he is for real. i still think this is a shared backfield as we do not know how durable he is. i do not think morris is going away yet. brieda should have a nice day vs KCC though. edit: i think he is an every week flex start at worst in ppr (even sharing time) Edited September 23, 2018 by Bier Meister
kdko
I remember last year I kept shouting this game's name out against all the Joe Williams hypemen on the forum Where's that dude now?

He may not be able to pound it 32 times like Carson, but he should definitely be getting it more than 10 times a game.

Yup, freakin' sad I really needed him to emerge as a weekly RB2 for my team.. At least Kerryon is on the up and ups!
Inziladun
I wouldn't be so quick to write off Breida. Beathard seems to love checking down to RBs. This hyper extended knee has me a little concerned though.
