If Ekeler weren't playing so well, I don't think it would be as much of a split. On the other hand, they know Gordon likely isn't going to sign another contract with the Chargers so they could run him into the ground but the most likely scenario is somewhat of a split. robotpimp Posted September 19, 2019 Share Posted September 19, 2019 Either way unlike Bell, Gordon has to report week 10 for this year to count against his final year contract.. since he wants a deal or a trade he has to show up otherwise no free agency for him. Chargers did not and will not get their steep trade demands, Gordon wants top 5 RB money but hasn't played a full season but once.
