Read the league rules in their entirety here. 13.11 There will be two concurrent pillages. One will take place on The Pearl and one on The Dutchman. Teams may only pillage from teams on their own ship (i.e. teams in The Pearl cannot plundarrrrrr from teams on The Dutchman). 13.12 Each team in the championship playoff bracket would be allowed to pillage up to 3 players off any team's roster not in the league's championship playoff bracket but may have a player pillaged from them should they hit The Kraken. 13.13 Each team not in the league's championship playoff bracket would be able to designate one player as "The Kraken.” Each team in the championship playoffs may in turn designate one of their players as “The Captain.” Any team that selects The Kraken can no longer choose any further players off a given team and will have points deducted from their point total in the playoffs. Furthermore, the team that selected The Kraken will forfeit any players they pillaged back to the team from which they were pillaged AND may now have a player pillaged from them by the team it was formerly pillaging. 13.14 Each non-playoff team could lose up to three players. After three players have been taken off of that roster, all other players would be off limits. The raiding playoff teams may lose no more than one player if they happen to select The Kraken. 13.15 A team can be pillaged by only one team, whether that team is successful or not. A player that has been pillaged once cannot be pillaged a second time. 13.16 Teams will not reveal who their "Kraken" is nor who their Captain is. Those players are to be submitted before the pillage via email to a non-partisan privateer designated by the league Cap’n.. If a team attempts to pillage another team and chooses their protected player (aka The Kraken), they will not receive that player and their choice(s) is/are forfeit. They will also forfeit any players they pillaged back to the team from which they were pillaged. They will not receive any further choices. 13.17 Once The Kraken is chosen, the team on which The Kraken was picked may then in turn choose to pillage a player from the playoff team it was formerly being pillaged by. Should The Captain be selected by the non-playoff team, it will receive no player as The Captain, and only The Captain, have life boat privileges. Otherwise, selected player will move from the playoff team to the non-playoff team and the pillage completed for both teams. 13.18 The order of the pillage draft would be highest ranked championship playoff team to lowest ranked championship playoff team. 13.19 All player positions may be pillaged. 13.20 A team may choose to forego pillaging when their draft position comes around. The effect would be to take an automatic -6 against their points scored in their first playoff game. 13.21 Teams may also opt-out of the pillage after making their first attempt. If a team wants to quit their pillage after successfully pillaging a player, they will take a -4 in their first playoff game. Furthermore, if a team wants to quit their pillage after successfully pillaging two players, they will take a -2 in their first playoff game. 13.22 Penalties for selecting “The Kraken” First attempt = -5 in team's first playoff game Second attempt = -3 in team's first playoff game Third attempt = -1 in team's first playoff game If a team successfully pillages 3 players from another team, there will be no penalty incurred by that team. 13.23 If The Kraken is selected on a non-playoff team, that team MUST then make a pillage attempt on the raiding playoff team. While there's no timer in effect for this, we should wrap both leagues up by end of day Wednesday so we can have all rosters settled going into Thursday night's games and week 1 of the playoffs. Definitely do not turn them in any later than 7am PT TOMORROW MORNING. We'll try and start the pillage at 7am PT tomorrow -- Yang and Howard can start pillaging at that point. I'd recommend posting in this format... no need to post players one at a time. If you want to pillage 3 players, just post which player you want to go after 1st, which one second and which 3rd. Here's an example of what to post The Cape Of Good Dope attempts to pillage in this order from the S.S. WTF! 1. Aaron Rodgers 2. Cooper Kupp 3. Aaron Jones If Aaron Rodgers is the Kraken here then Good Dope would take a -5 and then be subject to the Kraken taking one of that team's players. Kupp would be a -3 and Jones a -1 should he be the Kraken. If you only want 2 players, you'd post this and take a -2 for skipping the 3rd pick in the pillage. The Cape Of Good Dope attempts to pillage in this order from the S.S. WTF! 1. Aaron Rodgers 2. Cooper Kupp If you only want 1 player, you'd post this and take a -4 for skipping the 2nd and 3rd picks in the pillage The Cape Of Good Dope attempts to pillage in this order from the S.S. WTF! 1. Aaron Rodgers If you successfully pillage 3 players and do not hit the Kraken then you lose NO points and get all 3 players. If you choose to pass on taking taking part in the pillage you shall take a -6 into your week 15 playoff game. Hope this makes sense.
