DMD
My understanding is that everyone in the state of Missouri now has to tithe 10% of their income to Patrick Mahomes.

He's only 24 and he might look like a steal in a few years.

awahl63
Wow. Great move for both sides. Assuming he stays healthy, that should be a steal of a deal for the Chiefs in 5 years.

Then again Mahomes could probably throw with one leg but nobody wants to see him try Edited July 6, 2020 by purplemonster

purplemonster
I am no contract maven but it seems like he is guaranteed 140 million which seems to me to be a pretty good deal. That's just over 3 years at what his market rate likely is. Technically this is the largest contract ever in US sports anyway although I found this. Imagine knowing you will get almost half a billion dollars when you sign. "Mike Trout had previously held that distinction when he signed a 12-year, $426.5 million contract with the Los Angeles Angels in March 2019. Trout's contract is fully guaranteed, however."
