I'm an NFC kinda guy,  but this year I'm hoping for a KC win.  I have nothing against Brady or the Bucs, just tried of seeing him in the SB (damm man, give someone else a chance).  Also, I found myself watching a lot of Chiefs and Cardinals games this year, their QBs just make the game exciting again for me.  So, KCC and Mahomes in a 17-24 win

Yeah but this is sports history. Kind of like saying, "i hope Babe Ruth goes 0-4 today."

Shiiiit. Gotta agree, I hate when people say the line, "Give someone else a chance."  That's what the people at the party say when they don't understand the game and/or have never been an athlete themselves.

I'm not given anyone else a chance, if you want it, you have to take it from me. And for those who are watching and don't like it, too bad!  If you got there, you earned and deserve the respect.  If you didn't, work harder for next year. Losing helps develop grit.

Yep, agree. That and someone put 2.3 million on the Bucs to cover, so you know the fix is in at the casino in Vegas.  As much as this will piss me off, the Bucs have this one.

hmmm...  the whole thing smelled bad from the beginning with Nantz licking Brady's nuts at every opportunity and the the flags started flying non stop.

Already determined as in the game is rigged, and the officials will somehow make sure the Bucs win?  Sorry I don't believe that, and if I did I would stop watching the NFL. Sure its a great story, a Hollywood script and all. But I don't believe in predetermined results. (Otherwise there is no way my Browns would have beaten the Steelers in the playoffs.)

I think the Chiefs win, I don't think it will be a blowout at all, Biggest lead may be 14-17 points, but it will be back and forth. Chiefs win by 7-10, let's say 34-24

I am tired of Brady, and while he is a great QB I just feel some of that was luck, he sure wasn't considered the GOAT out of college, or even an NFL starter.

this game doesn't pass the smell test.

The penalties called on the Chiefs sure sucked, but that wasn't why the Bucs won. The inability of the Chiefs OL to give Mahomes any time to throw, combined with abandoning the run game while the Bucs did what we expected was the recipe for an embarrassing loss.

Like I said in other posts, if I believed these games were rigged I'd stop watching, that includes my favorite team.

Short-term, that works (goalline situations, etc.).  Long-term, that would cause two problems.  Offense becomes too predictable (one less player on the field who is potentially going to make a play), and you're reducing the talent level on the field.  You already have an O-Line with problems.  Why add another one (who is worse than the five you have out there) to the mix?

It would be the equivalent of a basketball coach saying "We're getting killed on the boards, so let's sub out our shooting guard for the backup center."  Sure, you might rebound better, but the con's of that move will outweigh the pro's (one less guy on the floor that can make a shot).  Long-term, that's going to take it's toll on the team scoring points.  Same deal in football... Mahomes might get an extra second to throw, but having four potential targets instead of five is a huge difference.  Defense has one less guy to cover downfield, meaning they can just blitz even more (and the backup OL isn't going to do much to stop them).

Chiefs position players are their strength, and their line was their weakness.  Adding more weak players, and taking one of the strengths out, isn't going to solve the weak area.... It just adds more weak players, meaning now a OL is going to be trying to stop a blitzing LB or safety.  Yikes.

Agree. And they needed a RB who can block. Hellaire was a turnstile.

Was Williams any better? He was on the field for 55% of the offensive snaps, to 45% for CEH.

What I recall is many times the ball was snapped and some pass rusher was clear of the OL on the edge many times sending Mahomes on the run right away.

Think this was discussed here already, but I saw it again today and was thinking about it. I read something like 90% of the drop backs were a 5 man protection scheme, which seems crazy when you have a bunch of backups on the OL who are not very good and your opponent has some good pass rushers. They never seemed to change that, or do much to slow the rush down.

Starting to think that Andy Reid's son's car crash a couple days before the game impacted his ability to work his magic. I was expecting some halftime adjustment but didn't really see anything.

Oh well at least we got to see drunk Tom Brady
